People: CAN WE HAVE IT IN VR AND SWITCH?
....and Battle Royale. Don't forget it must have Battle Royale.
"The slightest motion makes you sick!!!" is a meme. Sairento has the same movement as Warframe and it works fine in VR. Yes, even the backflips.
Im fairly certain that we saw Sheldon? Testing warframe VR. I mean it doesnt have to be full blown warframe right? It could be just one of those games where you stand in one spot and shoot stuff and ocasionaly slash something that gets too close. You dont have to zip around in speed of light.
So warframe vr? Possible but unlikely.
3rd person games work just fine in VR. Honestly, if VR is ever going to get anywhere, people need to get over the idea that first person is the only way to do anything in VR. It's severely limiting.
That said, I'd certainly like to see warframe in VR, but I don't think it's going to happen. The devs have way too much on their plate as it is with railjack and the new war. Still, it's something that'd be fun to see.
Word "this" is missing in my sentence. Almost all game genres work in VR but is there a fast paced game like Warframe with lots of enemies, how does parkour work there, selecting/ using abilities and gear items and what about farming? I really want to know.
If you use keyboard+ mouse except you with VR headset instead of monitor then I really do not see the point. I want to feel like I'm in the game and that feeling may die if game doesn't use VR controllers. Distance is one exception so far.
OP, this game has some serious issues with VR in its current state. It isn't impossible to make a game similar that could handle VR but with WF the experience would certainly be flawed and not manageable for most people.
To begin with you move at a very fast pace in WF, with lots of jumping and instant on the dime turning which VR already doesn't handle well at all in any game. Factor in hardware requirements to run it at a fast enough speed and any even slight desynch in movement from headset/body expectations and it could easily induce vomiting. This was seen as a big issue even in a very slow paced game like Resident Evil 7 due to controls not matching up well with what the body expected in terms of movement and is why very accurate tracking and a specific minimal FPS threshold is considered pretty mandatory for a proper experience. Vomiting is a very real possibility atm for most people, but it isn't like a similar game can't be made to avoid the pitfalls mentioned.
In this game's current implementation it would hurt your battle performance in-game since you would have substantially reduced situational awareness, significantly decreased aim, and dramatically weakened reaction time to peripheral and non-LoS situations.
Btw just gonna point out that Sairento isn't even a close comparison. It is so much slower and has dramatically simplified movement with far less turning and doesn't rely on any degree of precision in shooting at all. It is like comparing an F1 Race Car to a grandma on a scooter. =x
