How to exploit silver grove nightwave.

Take a Nekros and you can get a shot at an extra mod drop.

That's how Nightwave works. You don't need to complete a mission unless the challenge says "finish this mission"

The downside is you'll lose out on any rewards, like potentially-valuable mods the Specters drop

I am pretty sure each person can only use 2 per mission... although with 4 people that is 8 times you can fight per mission.

Oh wait ... you can use it during the mission and abort and save it as if it was not used?

That sounds like an exploit to me ... I would be careful about spreading it around if that is what you mean. Kind of thing could get you banned.

Gear is normally consumed regardless mission is aborted or not. If it isn't, then it would be wise to report it than to exploit it. And the punishment for exploits (and spreading it) are harsh, so take care.

Yeah exploiting this and spreading the info is pretty sure way to get banned. You shouldn't do this. Just get 4 people with apothics, each can use 2. Not 3.

You don't actually "use" the apothic. You interract with the shrine.

If you're actually running the quest and get killed by the specter, it would be horrendously bad to lose the apothic that you had to farm so many weeds to make.

It's not as if you can use it, kill the specter, abort and get the mods from the kill.

I guess you "could" make a claim that it's an exploit... but then you'd have to claim the same about simaris scan nightwave task that you'd have to do over multiple days instead, or even riven challenges that you can do without finishing missions now.

i farm Growing Power weekly or so. this nightwave challenge isn't new to our Apothic Farming Squad (4 of use. 2 apothics per player). and if you abort the mission (we always choose Capture Mission btw) you don't get the possible reward at the end. your loss dude

Well I would call the Simaris scan thing an exploit as well... If it does not count as a scan for simaris unless you end the mission then it should not count for nightwave... that weekly is supposed to take more than one day to do.

The riven thing is its own challenge.. or do you mean to say you can unlock a riven during a mission and abort and it remains unlocked? And then you could just unlock the same riven over and over? If so then I guess I would call that an exploit as well.

Perhaps they should just remove them from nightwave if people can cheat them so easily.
Kind of sad really is it does encourage new people to find out about the rare mod drops, but if they don't even bother going that far to finish the mission then the whole thing is a failure.
