Auto-Run

Randomly my character will just continue running without me holding down my movement key. It only happens with moving forward out. It could be my keyboard or it could not. I unplugged my keyboard during this bug and nothing changed, it continue to run and when I plugged it back in my FPS dropped and the auto-running continued. As far as I know there is no auto run option in the game. I am so ready to get a new keyboard because of this and other issues.

Occasionally my old keyboard would get keys stuck and my Warframe would continue to run forwards. Turns out the key was bad. Pressing the key to get it unstuck would solve the issue but not prevent it.

Yeah that does not solve the issue, I have tried that and have tried the arrow keys as well. I'll probably get a cheap logitech keyboard cause Razer and kiss my ass

All keyboards suck one way or another. My last keyboard worked fine at first, but as years passed and it got older, dirt must have got inside somehow and would do what you describe, registering the key as pressed long after I've let go. Or not register a keypress at all. I tried picking it up and tapping it against my hand a few times and it would stop that in the short term, but might've made the problem worse in the long term.

Of course, my new keyboard doesn't do that. No, instead keys get -mechanically- stuck now and then. As in the physical key remains pressed even after my finger has stopped touching it. Really sucks when it's the spacebar that jams down.

Do you have something like a controller plugged in? Warframe for whatever reason doesn't really apply a deadzone for analog sticks and if it isn't perfectly centered it can drift. Happens even if you're not using the controller but it's plugged in.

I don't have a keyboard plugged in but I do have a USB extrender plugged in with nothing plugged into that.

If it is just Warframe, it might just be a Warframe bug. Try turning V-Sync off, as I notice sometimes if I melee, press Tab, or really do anything else I get stuck shooting till I shoot again.

I'm fairly certain it's on every game with a controller/keyboard, I've had it happen to my PS4 controller before.


So far it seems that the only fix I can find is pressing down the key that your character is doing. (e.g Character walking forward, press W to fix.)
