Best specter frame and weapon?
I find using Rhino is good because as a specter he rarely dies. I usually give him Tigris, I do't recommend sniper rifles such as rubico. Very innacurate when in hands of a specter, but they have aimbot with bows and always hit headshots.

Octavia is also good, although that small range and duration of buffs is kinda meh, but it's a good specter for enemy swarms on survival or something. She constantly casts all of her abilities as well.

I recently found out Volt is also great. When you tell him to hold his position he will recast his shield everytime it goes down effectively making him a sentry with boosted damage. Just put him in some sort of a corner and boom.

What are your opinions on best warframes and weapons for specters?

I use Chroma prime for my specters...arm it with an amprex or ignis wraith and Gram p for its melee
Arca Plasmor is nice for spectres.

Wukong is a interesting spectre

I thought Spectres were fine with snipers? or someone mentioned a while back....

Any semi auto secondary/primary the spectres fires them at there maximum fire rate so some semi weapons are pretty much full auto for them. Also hitscan weapons for longer engagement missions (POE/Vallis) are generally better because spectres cannot lead there targets very well if they are moving.

Yes, works well as a pocket healer and energy source. Good for sortie defense missions.

No. Amprex requires modding to be anything other than marginally useful. Ignis is a similar situation, needing modding to bring status and damage up to meaningful levels. Both suffer from limited range meaning that the specter will try to shoot things which are too far away to actually hit.

The reason for this is simple... Weapons given to specters are just the base forms of the weapon with damage and accuracy slightly tweaked based on the level of the specter. Status and critical chance are not significantly affected. These weapons don't get the benefit of things like multishot, hunters munitions, or even changes in element type that they would get from modding.

No. Similar problem to amprex and ignis. Limited range, deals only radiation damage, and can't get the benefits of modding.

In testing, rapid firing weapons with reasonably high base damage and range tended to be more effective for general use. So weapons like Tiberon, astilla, stradavar, tend to be fairly effective regardless of specter and enemy type. Something like rubico or vectis works fairly well for a support role where the specter will be holding position somewhat away from the squad (particularly with volt).

Bows tended to be worst as they were subject to both slow firing rate, projectile flight time, and gravity.

harrow with a zarr. i find harrow one of the best for long endles survivals cause he gives you the occasional invulnerability time followed by massive damage increase, he can give you alot of energy and he can put hard CC down hallways pritty effectivly. and the zarr, well cause... its the zar.. it knocks everything on its ass for more CC and does some nice damage to

Can he split? This would make an excellent 4-man solo squad. :P

Those units you can build in the foundry there is a copy of your frame

"Atlas n Hydroid i like to use with these, but no idea howe good it is but still going with that :P

Ps. only thing i hate in this game are the gear loadout i always forget it before i enter a mission, so wish we could change gear lodouts inside a mission ^^

Nidus is top class, he can sustain anywhere and anything, he will buff you, he will heal.

Khora is fun too as you get an extra cat, Chroma can be good, Trinity too.

Thing you are looking for with specters is simplicity because they are flat out dumb thanx to Warframes utter obsolete Ai (at least obsolete compared to what is out there on the market, like, indie studios nail better Ai than what we have but I understand that it is a huge undertaking)

So self sustaining ones are top class for me, Nidus can hold your points in arbitration interceptions when enemy levels are well over double than his level.
And his heals also heal any other specters you place near him, Clem, bombard, heavy gunner, anything you like.

As for weapons, I think hitscan works best and ofc shotguns. High mastery rank weapons seem to scale better, like Vaykor Hek for example. Komorex was a nice surprise, specter actually can hit on distance which is pretty darn cool.

I am yet to try new Wisp specter after her specter got a rework, if she uses reservoirs she can be pretty strong.

Specters do not take mods into account, they scale their values depending on enemy levels.

Only Equinox's twin takes mods into account as well as Wukong's twin, no other specters do that
