Understanding the Warframe Energy System
So far I have mostly played with the Weapons-Melee; Primary; Sidearms.
With a level 30 Mag and 375 Energy I started experimenting trying to use
my warframe abilities instead of my gun.
Nothing special, only easy to do Defense Missions on Earth and Venus,
but I am almost out of Energy right from the Start.
I noticed that I seem to start my missions usually only with 80 energy,
and that there is no (or almost no noticable) energy regeneration
The only thing I can do is running around hoping to pick up loot
that fills up my energy reservoir.
Are there consumables, "Batteries", or regeneration mods for this problem,
preferably something that you can get on the first 3 Planets(I am still not beyond Mars) ?
Maybe a blueprint for the foundry that can be bought.
There are Players that seem to be able to continuously cast their spells
so there must be a better way than running around.

There are Energy Restore Gear items. The Small can be found on the Market, Medium from Dojo Energy Lab and Large from Syndicates (Arbiters and Perrin).
There is no passive Energy regeneration unless you (or a squad member, or both) have the Energy Siphon Aura on your 'Frame, or various Warframe abilities and "other" abilities.

1) Efficiency mods. They reduce energy cost for abilities (Most channelling abilities are affected by Duration mods as well)
2) Energy Ciphon (aura mod) gives 0.6 energy per second
3) Flow or Primed flow increases you max energy pool
4) Rage mod converts 40% damage taken to health to energy
5) After Second Dream quest you get *spoiler feature* and choosing a specific path givse you ability to regen energy slowly any time.
6) There are Energy restore items. Blueprint for small energy restore can be bought from the Market for 500 credits, Medium is Clan research and Large from Arbiters of Hexis or The Perrin Sequence (Syndicates)

As addition to whats been said some frames can restore energy (i.e. Trinity, Harrow,Nidus) and Hildryn
for example doesnt use energy but her shield.

Most of those players are using weapons with their abilities. That said, the big ability spam enablers are the efficiency mods.

Streamline reduces ability costs by 30% at max rank. It has a small chance to drop from lots of enemies that appear throughout the game. There are a few other sources for it, but the most notable is the lowest-level Plains of Eidolon bounty. Normally I'd recommend against new players checking out the open worlds, but Streamline has a pretty good drop rate there, so that might be worth an exception.

Fleeting Expertise reduces ability costs by 60% at max rank, though at the cost of 60% ability duration. Using it and Streamline together will only give you 75% reduced costs thanks to the efficiency cap. To get it, you need to run Derelict missions with Dragon Keys in your gear wheel and open the vaults you find in the derelicts. Between the level of Derelict missions (25-35), the penalties you get for equipping Dragon Keys (like halved health), and the costs of the Dragon Keys (Void Traces) make this and other corrupted mods something you should wait for until you get stronger.

Squad Energy Restore {small}[warframe.fandom.com] = market BP bought with credits.

Squad Energy Restore (medium)[warframe.fandom.com] = clan dojo energy lab BP bought with credits. 5,000 for single craft 250,000 for 10 craft.

Squad Energy Restore (large)[warframe.fandom.com] = Syndicate panel from Arbiters of Hexis or Perrin Sequence at rank 3 standing. 25,000 standing for 10 craft.

There are versions of these gear items for energy, health, shield and ammo, all of which follow about the same pattern to attain the BPs for. The only difference is which dojo lab to get the (medium) from and which syndicates offer the (large),

They aren't very intuitive to search for but I believe searching market for "restore" or "squad" should get you to the blueprints for the small versions.

... also enemies killed by Mag's pull ability have increased chance of dropping energy orbs. Enemies trapped by her 2 get double damage from her 1 so if you combine those powers and gather up a bunch of enemies at a chokepoint or corner you can farm energy that way. (Takes a bit of tweaking and practice to figure out how to make it work reliably, but it's pretty solid.)

Oh, and Mag's passive is that she sucks up nearby resources when she bullet jumps... so just bullet jump around the place and the energy orbs will come to you. ;)

In regards to the topic title, on top of all that's been said, remember that any form of energy regeneration ( as in, energy doing the opposite of draining, at a tick rate ) will be not work during channeled ( draining ) abilities. So the aforementioned methods of energy regeneration like the Energy Siphon aura, the *spoiler mode* form of regeneration, and additionally the Energy Team Restores *and* Warframe abilities like Trinity's Energy Vampire or Harrow's Thurible, these all will not work during abilities that actively drain energy at a tick rate.

However, other methods that offer flat energy gain, like energy orbs or the sniper exclusive mod Sharpshooter ( gain +5-15 energy on headshot kills ) will continue to work. Additionally, Rage/Hunter Adrenaline ( health damage converted to energy ) will continue to work as well.

An easy method to get energy is to get the Zenurik focus on your operator.

Right now its possible to buy Energy Siphon AURA mod.

Open NIGHTWAVE the emissary, then click on CRED OFFERINGS, scroll bit down and you will see auras. But it will COST 20 EMISSARY CRED, its quite cheap, unless you spended all on somethings else.

Best part is that ONE MOD IS ENOUGH, you can use that on evry Warframe, no mod locking in this game.
