How do coop rewards work?
I'm planning on taking this up with a friend to play coop, and I'm trying to find more info on how it works.

I'm particularly interested in how the rewards breakdown - do people share anything gained in-game or is it everyone for themselves? Any other tips for 2-player play welcome!

EDIT: I ask primarily because we tried Borderlands 2 together but because I played more, it quickly got rubbish (if I played with him, the rewards were useless and he was too underpowered to play in my game). Really keen to understand if anything similar will happen with Warframe.

Rewards are instanced, so everyone gets their own.

Everyone gets the same rewards, if they're a physical drop ingame then you still have to pick them up yourself; good teammates can place waypoints on high value drops everyone should pick up. Credits are collected for everyone when someone grabs them. The only exception to "the same rewards" are when mods drop from crates in the Orokin Void, those are random and different for everyone.
When cracking open relics for Prime parts, given that you've collected enough Reactant to actually open your relic during that mission/rotation, then all the rewards from the relics the team opened will be presented, and everyone chooses which reward they want. People can choose the same reward if they want.

For things like resources and mods dropped by enemies, a separate copy of the item is spawned client-side for each player - it's not possible to "steal" other people's loot, but everybody has to pick their own stuff up themselves. For some reason Credits, the primary in-game currency, work differently - only one person needs to pick them up, which causes all players in the group to gain a separate copy of the same amount (not factoring in Boosters, which only apply to the person who has one active). End-of-mission rewards work in pretty much the same manner, with each person receiving a separate copy of the same item. Experience points for gear (known as Affinity in-game) can also be shared, with anybody within 50 meters of the person gaining a separate copy of the same amount of experience, though split between their equipped gear in a different ratio.

This is brilliant, thanks everyone! Sounds like a really decent system, excited to delve in :D

There are rare instances from certain enemies that will drop different mods for different people.
But the vast majority of the time everyone gets the same thing.

Yes that was one of the things that really bothered me with Borderlands as well. Also having to interact with drops to get them... this game the vast majority of stuff will just get collected as you run past it. No stopping to check out and decide about what loot to leave, you can just grab it all.

Welcome to Warframe!
