i like fighting more than spamming 1-2 buttons and then running around and picking up stuff every 10 minutes
i have nuke frames, i think they're boring, i dont think they should be nerfed but i think they should make gameplay more involved rather than spamming 1-2 buttons and killing enemies instantly.
i'd rather run around and shoot stuff *and* use my abilities. rather than just using one ability that kills everything without any sorta skill or involved gameplay.
The important thing is that specific frames/tactics are suited to specific missions.
For example
I would much rather bring Ivara Noisy Arrow and solo a Tier 3 sortie Interception, or a stealth build for solo survival on Mot.
Excavation? I will bring Khora.
Nuke could accomplish these missions but (at least in my opinion) not efficiently enough. To me the whole point of continuing to play Warframe outside of trying new builds just for the hell of it is to find builds that excel at particular things and gather a wealth of CHOICES in my toolbox.
Nuke is just one of those choices, albeit the most popular one, again (in my opinion).... not the most efficient in every situation. There's so many scenarios where nuke ISN'T good that I think people need to consider it when they say it's OP.
OP at grinding Hydron? Sure. Why wouldn't it be? That's what it's for.
But you wouldn't take a nuke frame to fight Plague Star boss would you? No. You bring Rhino, or Chroma, or Titania. Would you bring Saryn to do Tier 3 Spy sortie? Farming toroids? Farming kavat genetic code? Vodyanoi?
Sums up my feelings on this. Even though XP and loot is nice, id rather shoot run and kill stuff myself than have someone kill everything for me. It gets boring otherwise (lack of interactivity).
I do it all the time on volt, just stand in middle and spam 4, I have no patience for leveling frames/weapons anymore when ive done it 500 times already.
hardstuck mr12? lol im sorry that i want gameplay that's fun and involved rather than boring nuke frame gameplay that takes no skill or any intelligence other than looking up meta builds and getting mods to make yourself op and make the game boring for everyone else.
yea i said i get why people do it, i just think people with over powered nuke frames should play solo or they should make the gameplay more involved for people who actually want to play a game.
The game is so deep and we get so powerful that any star chart mission is a joke.
What do you want them to do though? Nerf all bosses to make them star chart level so they can nerf all the guns and frames for some imaginary "balance".
I bet you can take anything and "Nuke" an Earth mission.. does that mean they need to nerf your gear? Or do you just need to play a harder mission?
But get real here... Hydron is for leveling, there is no other reason people play there other than clearing the star chart node.
I already said i don't want them to nerf something to the point of there being no point in using a frame or weapon but i'd like them to actually try and make the gameplay have some sort of challenge for high lvl frames so that everyone is playing the game, maybe have a bigger counter to ability spamming or make a player move around.
also imo d.e is getting better with bosses, most of the boss fights are atrociously done especially eidolons but the ropalolyst show's they're improving at making bosses fun, and you're right every mission in the star chart is a joke and that's why it, to a certain extent, needs better balancing.
maybe they could make different difficulties for missions that change the drop rates/ xp and have different things disabled or make enemies stronger like they do in sorties. it wouldn't be hard to fix and make things more balanced for players, Destiny/ Destiny 2 does it really well with strikes and even normal missions while still making you feel powerful.
also sure hydron is for leveling but i like playing the game, it's not fun to sit in a match and watch one player kill all the enemies for 10-20 minutes and do literally nothing.
They have spoken about and I believe intend to have endless missions start in later difficulties, that would basically be your difficulty slider. So it is in the works.
Beyond that you should just expect anything when you play in a PUG. If not then you are just trying to tell other people how they "should" be having fun and trying to make rules to force them. I don't think anyone wants that. Use the tools you already have to create the gaming experience you want to have, rather than trying to force your ideal on others.
i don't think anyone really has fun playing nuke frames though? most people do it just to get xp the fastest and just sit still
In onslaught with a Sayrn I may get most kills <although I'm the kind of guy who rarely uses 4, like as the timer counts down etc> but any weapons I have don't get crap.. it all goes to my frame.
So a nuke frame in Hydron is either leveling up their frame or helping others level up weapons.
You want to stop that because you think that isn't fun for you?
When you could just find another group?
No, you should play solo.
The rule of thumb for Public matches is do the objective as fast as possible, so to not waste peoples time and so everyone gets their stuff then can get out and move on to whatever else they want to do.
Stalling the pace of a mission to a hault because you feel killing fodder enemies individually is somehow 'fun' is ineffecient, wastes peoples time, and is completely against the rule of thumb of Public matches. Therefore, if you want to spent 2 hours on a Capture mission 'for fun gameplay' then you're gonna have to play solo.
