I hate nightwave so much

It makes me never wanna play this game again. Screw the umbra forma and the cosmetics. I hate being forced to play every week to earn this stuff. I should just bite the bullet and uninstall this game. I’ll come back when the devs think of something more interesting to keep that player retention, because holding these rewards hostage just isn’t for me.

I personally dont think its too bad since its free content that only costs the player some time and effort, similar to how battlepass work in other games. And players only need to complete around 70% of the nightwave challenges across the 10 weeks to unlock everything.

Also they made steps to make nightwave challenges easier and if you happen to miss a week the challenges are replayable if you complete all the challenges for the following week. I'll admit its not perfect and there are a few flaws. But overall it is just free content that encourages players to play regular and gives the players who do play regularly something to work towards during the week

So what exactly is so bad with them?

Vast majority of the quests are so easy you'll do most of them in less than 10 minutes. You get an entire week on you to do the weekly missions. So only the daily ones are stuff to keep up to date on.
The only exception is the 3 Rounds in Index without the enemy team scoring.

They are just there to replace the alerts. How would you make them more interesting too?

You don't need to play every week because of the catch up mechanic.

"Any Weekly and Elite Weekly Acts that have not been completed before the next week's rotation will be put on reserve. After all of the current week's Acts are completed, any missed Acts from previous weeks will be available and marked as Recovered, three at a time. Once all missed Acts have been completed, they will no longer appear, only to be refreshed in future week rotations. "

Couldn't care for Umbra Forma aswel. Thus: Nightwave is what it is, and I'm not interested.
The idea that I would uninstall Warframe, thus therefor... I did aswel! I was out for 2 years, and...

These days I'm making credits, Forma and harvesting ducats like nuts, dumpin' the Baro Tenno-relay beside me... because I get the idea that DE wants to make some money before releasing "Empyrean".

It might fail, like the 'Archwing-missions' did.

I couldn't care less. Warframe is easy to do, I'm mastery 22 with a sh*tload of weapons still to be mastered, and I'm not always interested in that either, after Mastery 14.

I play, because it's easy, it's fun, I'm good at what it is, and that's all I need, to waist some time in midst of life itself.

In other words: Don't take your expensive toy that serious.

Ok what I think is wrong with them (imo ofcourse) is that I cant play casually anymore. I have 1900+ hours over the course of 6+ years. I've taken many long breaks. But now I feel I cant take a break cause I will miss out on some good stuff, Umbra Forma in particular and some cosmetics. This new event is trying to keep me in the game and it feels so forced.

I wish they added big group raids for the event with 8/16 players, something new and fun.
With all that said, I'm most likely burnt out and this is around the time I'd take a break and I probably will. I'll just have to miss out on these stuff.

It has potential but currently it's more of a chore then what it should have been, weekly missions to finish that slowly uncover a storyline WITH the addition of challenges.
