Ash/ Ash Prime ?
Why is there ever hardly anything mentioned about Ash/AshPrime (aside from Tennocon 2018) or seen in game? . Do people use him? Whats the play style? (ill check youtube later...).
Is it a popular or unpopular frame to use or play?

Semi - average on popularity.

He's a stealthy ninja, shuriken augment strips armor (which makes him great for scaling) and his 4 is great as well. #3 with covert lethality one shots all enemies no matter the level, and his 2 is invisibility.

His kit overall is very solid, and because of his armor stripping can effectively use any weapon reliably (especially past level 200 where armor scales very high).

Youtube will give you even more info, he's a great frame to play.

He's fun enough, but he's not mentioned an awful lot since he's generally not the first pick for high-end content, and for stealth people tend to prefer Ivara or Loki. He's fun and fills a niche, but he's not the best in any category I dont think

He's in constant state of Smoke-Screen

He's my favorite stealth frame for sure. Zaw dagger and the baza and he's quite fun.

The way Warframe players work is they gravitate towards any frame with a "1 button nuke" like Saryn, Volt, Equinox, Mesa. At one point Ash was one of the most played frames because his Bladestorm didn't require manual targeting, you would just hit #4 and kill everything, but, since they changed it to manual targeting of mobs, people view him as bad.

It's similar to how you only see people using spin-to-win whips/polearms used even though there are 300+ weapons in the game.

It comes down to people being lazy or just not having the skill to use anything that requires you to actually play the game. They would rather press 1 button over and over or using macros to kill everything.

Sadly though, it's not entirely their fault, they just exploit what is unbalanced. It's ultimately DE's fault for not changing the way these things work.

I enjoy Ash, last time i used him i used arcane trickery x2 and spamed bladestorm to get constant invis

Also there is like 30+ frames and is quite rare to see anything outside the meta

yeah for sure too many people use nuke frames when active frames are almost as effective but make you actually play the game and for sure I'm guilty for using volt nuke sometimes

Ash's use got kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when DE made it so that you actually have to shake your mouse a bit after tapping 4. Since the unspoken pro gamer rule of Warframe is "optimize your loadout so that you play the game the smallest amount necessary", wiggling the mouse enters the unnecessary land, and so the nerds turned to Saryn for nuking.
I use Ash Prime mostly for solo play/ armor stripping on extra armor sorties. He's a great frame with a great kit, but he doesn't really contribute all that much to a full squad. He's bit of a "selfish" frame, if that makes any sense. Generally speaking, I like to pick frames who can provide at least 1 squad-wide benefit (like Valkyrs War Cry, for example), and Ash really doesn't have that.

But by no means does that make him a bad frame. Just personal choice, I suppose. Play whatcha want, man. No need to follow the meta for everything.

Just don't play Limbo.

Ash does have an augment that makes smoke screen affect nearby teammates, but in terms of his base kit, yeah, it's kinda selfish.
