Why are these stupid mastery tests still here?
Seriously I left the game about 2 years ago because of many many problems the game had, most have been fixed since then. But one big one that hasnt been fixed is these stupid mastery tests.

Its basically saying if you cant do these tests, dont play the game. I mean even WOW dropped the proving grounds to queue into dungeons because people were failing them and then quitting the game.

He's not retarded, he's absolutely right. Just because you can do them doesn't mean everyone can and why put stuff in games that may cause "customers" to lose interest in the game? It's not like they serve any purpose anyway. I mean it just doesn't make sense to have them in the game.
This prompted me to pitifully try to find that one cognitive bias I saw on Wikipedia ages ago, where it was said that people who have an easier time with a task falsely assume that the task is easy for everyone else. It's the classic sometimes-unknowingly douchebag teacher that just lobs an "it's easy" at you after you spent a whole afternoon breaking your synapses trying to figure out a physics problem. Shame I couldn't find it, but totally a real thing.
Ugh, now you give me that feeling too because I've seen it myself.

I know where you're coming from, but like I said - all the frames you need to complete the mastery tests you can get on the star chart. You don't need primed anything. The rest is just experience and knowing what to do and if there is an easier road (cheese).

Dude come on are you attarded or what ? You pass these test in like 5 minutes for each and it's done. You make this problem a world first problem while it's a very minor stuff that you need to do, there is only 27 mastery atm it's not a big deal.

The ability to trade X times is directly linked to your MR, as well as powercreep stuff like rivens, weapons and frames. Not to mention they aren't even a challenge once you play the game enough. If you end up encountering an MR test that is too difficult for you, this means you've leveled quite a bit of things, but still need to learn something to truly advance to that next stage. While it can be frustrating when you encounter something of difficulty, if there was no challenge then it wouldn't be fun or exciting to defeat something.

In the end it's an experience problem, if someone is failing at an MR test it's because they lack the experience to deal with it. There were only 3 tests I can think of that were hard that I didn't ace in the practice version. And only one I failed and had to wait the 24 hours for (didn't know that I could practice then). Every test afterwards I just practiced it and completed the real thing. If you're struggling - internet is your friend - youtube Warframe MR test ## and you'll find someone who did it with a normal excalibur and MK weapons.
I have a physical disablity, one of the issues is severe nerve damage to my left hand and issues with my left arm. I have lots of trouble with movement and parkour in the game, some of Mastery Ranks where harder for me than others, but it also made me a better player. Warframe in general has helped me get a lot of motion back in my hand and arm. Some of the skills in Mastery Tests are basic some are more complicated, some are skills that a given player may not have used, but it does ensure a basic level of skill for a person of a given mastery rank.

Completing the more difficult (for me) tests for me have given me more sense of achievement than anything else in the game. I am mastery rank 27, I want to complete the last 3. Not sure if the OP is a troll or a whiner, but seriously either learn the skills or cheese it, it is hardly an issue.

Also choose which argument you want to make, is it easy and can be cheesed so pointless or is it blocking off content for people because it is requiring skill levels not needed in the main game?
I normally hate the Warframe community for using their own experiences to invalidate the experiences of others. For some people, a particular aspect of the game might be incredibly challenging, and just because you completed it with ease means that everybody should? You're essentially beating down a person for having a different set of skills. Of course, these skills could be improved (a la 'gitting gud') but if it's just really not your strength, it can take a while to improve. Over time, this could become very demotivating. Having to spend a large portion of your time practicing something you probably don't even like to do isn't very fun and not why people play games. When people shut down others that are having difficulty by saying stuff like 'git gud', they are essentially leaving them in the dust without any motivation, just someone saying 'You can be as good as I can be.' No, not everyone can be as good. You'd never notice how challenging something was if you're always good at it. And you say you got that way because you practiced. When did you practice? When the game was still fresh, catering to new people who were just learning the mechanics? Before you demanded the devs make the game challenging enough to satisfy yourself, while forgetting about new players in the future? Never use your own experience to invalidate another. This does nothing except shut people down who want to enjoy the game.

But no, MR tests actually are stupid easy and you've been given tons of help, OP. Git Gud.

Anyone that was willing to read all of that was hopefully engrossed in the speech and lost interest of the sentence at the bottom. It was about how people use their own experiences to invalidate others' and it looks like I'm accusing everyone in this thread of doing that. But just as people finish reading the block of text, they read the sentence on the bottom, subverting their expectations, hopefully to a comedic extent. Putting a tl;dr at the bottom would lose the intended effect, and breaking the block up would lessen the intensity of the speech.

tl;dr See, I was trying to pull a sneaky on ya

so? i have dyspraxia. which is a neuromuscular disorder that leaves one with horrible coordination among other things. you just rebind the controls around you're disability. it's not a hard concept

Here is the REALLY stupid part of it. One of my friends said get on your ps4, and stream to me, then use the handoff controller option and I will get you through it in about 2 minutes

Then I had to break the news to them I play on pc.....

its a very very very very sad day when pc is the inferior platform.

PC is inferior because I could not get someone else to play my game for me.

Epic logic bruh
Honestly, people are only saying MR tests are easy because the OP is failing to complete a test that is considerably simple when compared to most of tests ahead. Some may have difficulty, some not, but a low mr test is supposed to only be an introduction.

MR9 is Stealth Exterminate, simple and enough said. Take a one-handed weapon with Fury(Daggers are preferred). The test is cheesy as is.

MR19 is Stealth Rescue, in which MR9 tactic can be used to clear the area before destroying the objective orbs and rescuing the hostage. Surprise surprise? The best option here is a dagger again if you don't want to cheese it through a gunblade.

Both tests lock your skills so your warframe does not matter. Both are stealth focused, and to complete them you are required at least situational and surrounding awareness.

MRs 1-9 introduce you to game mechanics, 10-20 give you a variant or mix of known mechanics(because they can do that to test you), 20-27 are supposed to be the best challenges the game can offer, and some examples are uncommon on missions.

Sadly, one of the few defense points made here that actually has a foundation, is no it isn't. Not in a normal capacity anyway, only in loading screens do you have a chance at seeing it, and if you're on good net/good setup then you will rarely be able to read it.

I think it should be pointed out and many codex things that exist need to be revamped too - hopefully we get that in the future.
To making it short: You need to pass this tests to become 1 master(highest rank) some day.
For free you wont rank up at mastery. At no game.

/edit: all of these tests are game basics.

Though what other game has a mastery system similar or equal to Warframe's?
