How to open void relics?

There's a tab in your navigation window that looks like a flame. Those are void fissure missions. When selecting a fissure mission, you'll be prompted to choose a relic in your inventory. Complete the mission while collecting 10 reactant to unlock that relic. When the mission is complete, you can choose between your reward and any reward that your teammates who also gathered 10 reactant received. Duplicates will be noted, and any player in the squad can grab any reward.

Fissure Missions, one of the tabs on the top right in navigation. Select the mission, equip a Relic, collect 10 reactant, complete mission, done.

You need to complete one of the quests as part of setting up your ship.

You won't see the relic missions or be able to access the relic station if you have not.

The simplest way is to go to Target and buy one of those crab shell crackers to open them with.
