How bout non Meta Weapons?

Does anyone even like non meta weapons, like Arca Titron, or Buzlok?

I do use Buzlok for Eidolons. Not optimal, but works.
I dont use Arca Triton as I dislike melee. Atterax is my go to due to its ease of use.

Arca Titron can be extremely powerful not just as a crit or a hybrid, but also using its "slam reactor" mechanic in a particular way.
Fragor Prime is usable as a crit weapon but it's got such low range.

Besides that, I guess a two handed Rabvee zaw is as about as meta as any other two handed zaw when built with the right link and accomodating build.

I'm pretty sure vulcan blitz also makes jat Kittag another meta weapon to add to the list

Meta can ♥♥♥♥ right off, just use what you enjoy. Every time I get into a squad and someone ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about me not being meta, I just kill a stupidly powerful enemy in front of them with one or two shots and leave the game, hoping they fail it after I leave.

How about mention something like the Heat Sword/dagger series, Jaw Sword, Strun, Boar/Prime, Dakra series, Gorgon series, Convectrix. I can go for days

Strun Wraith is a high tier status shotgun with a bit of crit to boot. Boar Prime is a fine status weapon. Dex Dakras have tremendous slide attack damage. Prisma Gorgon is an exceptional crit weapon, it's become my main Hemocyte killer. Convectrix is unfortunately very bad, and only works decently as something like a Gas status with punchthrough against Corpus/trash Infested.

I said strun, never mentioning its wraith counterpart because I know it's partial-meta. And there are other crit bullet-hoses that are far superior to all Gorgons put together, even with a billion forma. Gorgon deals primarily impact damage, and imo I'd rather take puncture over impact for a gun any day. Impact for a melee is fine, but not for a gun

Yep, you're asking if the MR1 locked Strun, which isn't even made through a blueprint but outright bought for 25k credits, if it's meta. Just as the Dual Heat Sword and Heat Sword aren't even MR locked, and the Heat Dagger is good simply by the fact that it's a dagger and capable of using Covert Lethality.

Sounds like you're not building it well. My Prisma Gorgon is basically a go to weapon for 99% of any mission/sortie combo. Impact may be the worse physical damage, but when it's backed up by crits and bullet hosing, it works just fine. I suggest the Vigilante mods, works fantastically.

Unless it's very good at dealing impact procs, in which case I personally am not going to complain if rapidly pummeling an enemy keeps them from retaliating, despite probably being my least favourite for actual damage.

Anyone who thinks Prisma Gorgon is anything more than a meme weapon either sucks at the game or has never used meta weapons. In this case, it's clearly both. Its impact damage doesn't matter, for the content you are likely doing, armor is more or less irrelevant. Gorgon's main issue is long reload time bringing its dps down, no matter how quickly it can kill a lvl50 Grineer. I don't think you quite understand that meta weapons one-shot _rooms_ of 100+ grineer, hell ignis wraith could probably pull it off and doesn't even need a riven.


An actual good non-meta weapon is the Dread.

-Eidolon viable? check
-Oneshots several lvl150 heavy gunners at once? check

just because weapons are non meta, doesnt mean they're terrible, in fact, is Furax Wraith or Falcor meta?
