The grind for Grendel

Can i just say how moronic the grind for Grendel is. You do missions that have level 40-45 enemies and have to protect and defend. Easy when you have mods and Warframes made for these types of missions. Only, you cant use mods, operator, OR your gear making the mission improbable to complete unless you either:
a) no life the mission
or
b) scour the forums for a team.

How does these missions even fit in with the over all game when the game is all about grinding to get the best MODS as well as finding a balance between operator AND warframe?

Of course there'll be people who will say "lol i had no issues with this" or "OP just sucks lol". Keep in mind I, along with a lot of other players, dont have Limbo, or Loki so the cheese methods dont work. Also, what is the point of recruitment channels if I have to search the forums for a team?

I have no doubts in my mind DE will not nerf this unless their precious Megan and Rebecca fail horribly at the missions on a livestream like what happened with the Stealth system.

For those who dont recall or who werent around for it: DE decided to change the stealth in the game as well as the clear conditions for a nightwave mission. You basically had to stealth without being caught and the enemies line of sight was soo Op that they could see you through walls or closed doors. This issue wasnt fixed, or even addressed, until a livestream where both Megan and Rebecca failed hilariously. Then, like magic, it was patched the next day with most on the forums saying: "Finally".

It isn't really that much of a grind to get Grendel. Just get enough vitus essence to unlock the missions for the parts.

I recommend not being in such a hurry to get Grendel. Wait til you get a warframe/warframes that can get you through the missions easier.

It can be really slow but easier than RNG, but that's just my luck. Frost is good for this one, and easier to get maybe. I went with organized pugs from the recruiting channel, we almost always had a frost and a trin.

if you don't hurry you will not find anyone helping you with the missions. with 4 people the missions are pretty easy, if you like hardcore, you can try solo.
The missions fit because you will see more power gating during the New big update...

Frost, Trinity, Nidus, and Revenant are all solid choices for the Grendel missions.

Not that I liked doing it, oh no, but these are the bare minimum for making the grind bearable.
I don't blame you for disliking the missions.

did it on the first day because i know no one would want to run the mission again after a week from the release.
like atlas archwing mission.

if you found a team, for excavation mission use khora,frost,trinity and maybe mesa for nuking.
mods and arcane are disabled but augment mods still work.
so equip all augment mods in your warframe.
frost chilling globe, trinity vampire leech, Nezha warding halo ( for 90% dmg reduction on teammate)

Honestly all these are pretty much a cake walk with frames like Hildryn and just heavy slam spamming

I did them all solo with Ivara (not much problem). the biggest thing to understand is you can't just sit-n-spam energy, abilities, or shoot AOE weapons that one shot. After you realize you need to actually play the game it isn't that hard.

EDIT: I actually really enjoyed those missions and sometimes hangout on recruiting looking for people that are seeking an lfg to do those.

They made the missions difficult for a reason. Those with the skill to get it will, and those without skill won't. It's clear to see which category you fall into.

3 missions without mods =/= grind. You can do these missions solo if you know how, the defense is the only one I had any trouble with.

And regarding stealth, you can pretty much stay invisible 99% of the time with most frames that can go invisible. Ivara and Octavia have permanent stealth. Not being detected is a non-issue.

frames wise

Limbo,frost,gara,and the like work well for defense and extraction

Trinity & harrow are a good mix or seperate,also khora

rhino Great for overall,octavia is nice too,Grendel is 50 50

damage wise Nidus,any toxic weapons or the like (excal exalted blade + augment,select toxic)

And CC helps,so vauban,nyx or such are useful


Augments apply also.


Slight side note MANY frames can do this ,but I suggest a classic support,Cc and damage with a free slot for whatever ha need or want
