Skiajati or Nikana Prime?

I don't know about this one. Nikana Prime does seem to do a little more in everything minus puncture and impact damage, but the Skiajati has those Umbra mods that do a little extra damage all together as well with that mod set.

What do you guys think? Should I get Nikana Prime or stick with the Skiajati?

Skiajati also cloaks you on finisher attacks, so if you have a way to reliably chain finishers, it could be worth running just for the stealth alone

Crit is the most important melee stat right now after the CO nerf. it's 28% crit with 2,4 multiplier on the nikana against 15% with 1.8 multipier on the skiajati. both have 28% status chance. The umbra slots don't really matter since bloodrush is stronger than even sacrificial steel when stacked. skiajati has the stealth gimmick but thats it, nikana is WAY stronger right now.

skiajati has higher dispo and faster
they are pretty much the same anyway so play whichever you like the most

Well, I doubt that somebody who doesnt own the nikana prime by now got a riven for the skiajati (escpecially a well rolled one) and the attackspeed is 0.09 higher which is barely noticable, especially when you run berserker anyway (which you definetly should ^^).

yeah exactly. not having a riven for skiajati or 0.09 difference isnt a valid point. It still benefits skiajati.
the edge skiajati gets with riven dispo over nikanap makes it pretty much better than nikana prime. you just sound like biased and not objective.

Both are ♥♥♥♥ now. get a Prisma skana, toss in bright Purity on top of a half decent riven and just build for heavy dmg. A few things to keep in mind.

1, Purity proc is a corrosive dmg AOE that will help shred armor very effectively.
2. Purity also includes a self heal of 25% your max health.
3. Uses Crimson Dervish, which now is easily one of the best stances for hacking and slashing, and which does triple dmg for its standard EEE combo.

I had prior to the CO nerfing a skiajati build I loved using especially with ash that made good use of blood rusha nd weeping wounds. I actually removed the umbra polarity slots to make it work.

It was so heavily nerfed in actual game play after the changes that I was going back to the Rakta Dark Dagger for my stealth killer builds but then happened to get a skana riven, dusted off my prisma skana and was surprised most happily to see it was doing more raw dmg then any other weapon save my Silva and Aegis primes build.

Im not even some uber builder but had a max MR guy in my clan ask me to show it off in the sim and he seemed genuinely impressed at the dmg I was doing taking out lvl 100 heavy gunner groups on an excal umbra using just the purity proc for healing while tearing them apart.

I routinely now use excal umbra with the skana on Sorties and basically am just sword swinging the whole time. Its rather nice not needing to be an uber tank build or a walking genocide aoe power using build to have a good time in higher end content.

Amalgam Daikyu mod gives you life steal on Nikana... depends on your build if you want that or not though.

It also really helps you cheat on mastery rank 9 test. (don't tell lotus, she'll spank me :P)
