Is Kuva Tonkor even worth the grind?

It seems like the Kuva Tonkor has only minor improvements compared to the normal Tonkor but its riven disposition is MUCH smaller. I own a very good Tonkor Riven (250.5% Crit Chance, 176.4% Crit Damage). Isn't the normal Tonkor the better weapon in this case?

It depends on how nostalgic you are for the old Tonkor days, I suppose. The Kuva variant has higher crit chance, status chance, and base damage than the vanilla Tonkor, but I'm assuming it still keeps the one trait that sent everyone running from it in the first place - full self-damage.

No kuva weapon is particualr is worth the directed grind. Just roll with whatever you get - your chances of getting one specific gun are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abysmal.

explosive kuva weapons are bugged atm and aren't recieving thier bonus damage.

once that's fixed you're looking at up to 60% more base damage, so a top-end one is comparable to the opticor (except with more crit).

hard to say how things'll stack up till you have a good one tho.

Wow! You managed to reach 148% total crit chance on that weapon even though the riven disposition is so much lower? :o Really? oO

Then it is definitely the better weapon compared to the normal Tonkor! :)
I only get up to 125% Crit Chance with my mentioned riven. :)

But how is that possible? The base crit chance of the kuva variant is only 5% higher. I am confused. :D

Kuva Tonkor has higher base damage, CC and Reload speed. It is a buffed Tonkor. Get it

Yes, I already got a Kuva Tonkor with +58% toxin damage and it is amazing. =)

If you have a riven, i say no in most case . The reg tonkor is better cause the riven is not reduce, unlike in kuva tonkor. I tested this with my reg and kuva tonkor thats has 57-59% rad damage. My reg one smoke it.
