Cause those "free" cosmetics are really nothing I care about or desire to get my hands on.
It is the ultimate free demo...
If you decided you want to support the game that is awesome.
If you don't want to support the game ... who cares? Go away, you are not needed here and won't be missed.
I got rid of cable TV years ago, just the same old BS and propaganda.
In the less than 2 years I have been playing Warframe I have spent about as much as I would have on Cable TV in that same period of time and I got a hell of a lot more enjoyment out of it and still have a box full of toys to play with.
I don't even like trading and didn't trade for plat.. I prefer to play the game.
Now that I have everything I can have beyond the odd rare mod, couple of log-ins and founders stuff and thousands of plat on top of that... I would still buy more if I got a 75% off just to support the game devs. I certainly don't need the plat!
I wish more game devs did things the way DE does and I am the type of person wiling to put my money where my mouth is.
lmao just don't play any f2p game then.
playing like few day complains whales, while people who have patience play for half years and got so many catalyst and slot by doing event or crossfire mission.
farming prime parts can also trade for plat you can even rich if you do it right only within a week.
this is more like "I want to get everything after play for few hours so I will not actually get to play the game"
Sorry, I don't see the logic in your well-intentioned advice.
I play Warframe since 2014 and have also spend a lot of money worth the salary of a good earning job in this game over the past 5 years, so quite enough. It's always funny how players on forums come up with the wildest assumptions when something upsets them.
But if we are already at giving each other unasked advices, I recommend doing some research of how f2p monetization works compared to other models and if not that at least search for the famous not Ted Tallk kinda Ted talk "Let's go whaling".
Then PoE would fall into that same category and so would Aion, and probably SWTOR, and the list goes on and on. I would say, 'Welcome to the F2P model!' but, people these days seem to feel like they are entitled to everything for free, and anything that's not free to them is 'predatory' or a 'scam'. If you buy it then it's kinda your fault, the company has every right to put a price tag on anything it owns, and as a player, you can decide for yourself on whether or not you 'need' to buy it. If it bothers you that much, the obvious answer would be to stop playing the game.
Also, I'm not sure what changed in WF in the last couple of years to make it more like BDO. More quests were added, mission modes, some major changes to weapons, weapons and frames obviously (all free). But what changed about the in-game market that compares it to BDO in the last couple years? They added in a lot of fluff for ship/dojo deco's that cost plat, more fashionframe. You can't buy Umbra Forma.
So what are you going on about?

So, you basically got nothing. If you're going to comment on a post making some sketchy comparisons, at least be able to be ready to explain yourself in detail.
Never in all my playtime have i bought plat, although i did buy cosmetics because the game rewarded me enough for me to give something back in return.
If you don't want to explore and learn basics of trade, that's completely fair, but that's also your problem.
Farm stuff > Sell it for plat > Spend plat
Ez as that
Keep in mind when you say that, that Tennogen stuff is created by players and they receive a percentage of the sales. There's a limit to how you can price that stuff and keep it reasonable.
