Semper Fi for those who were inside the relays at the moment of their respective destruction. We'll never forget.

First off, holy crap at one of my videos being used for anything.
However, that video is from the original Fomorian event, and it was very clearly rigged against the Strata Relay. There were some 500+ active groups continuously running the event and it was progressing slower and slower until it stalled at 1% and stayed there for half a day so most of us just gave up and decided to just watch the fireworks since there was nothing we could actually do about it.
However, that would require DE to pay more attention to which Relay's get targeted in case the playerbase fails. As I believe Relay's in the beginning of the game are necessary for new players for a number of reasons, which again is highly unlikely.
Grineers' Death Stars--Fomorian ships--are not our only worry when it comes to relays. What Grineers can't destroy, Corpus can always snatch for their use. I'm talking about Razorback armada invasion to relays, whose next invasion is due very soon in case any of you didn't notice the meter at invasions is almost full for them as well (beating up invasions inflates such meters, and right now we are fiercely grinding them for Pathocyst). If Razorbacks are not stopped, the Corpus take the relay. It's better than destroy it because we only need to rescue it sometime soon after rather than wait years to have a rebuild event.
Either way, it's high time to have LoR back for Vendetta on what Vay Hek did on Eyes of Blight, and JG to just get rid of more pesky cephalon traitors ("Oh, I didn't mean it. I was under the influence of the Imperious curse. Voldemort made me do it with the curse. He combined Imperious with the mind-numbing infestation tech")
It's also high time for a Corpus-based raid, which may be based on a Razorback armada invasion rigged to take over 1 or more relays (oops, giving DE ideas. Nah, they don't read these unless we get accused, otherwise they would tell me in the face they did.)
Stuff to think about, Tennos.
I used to grind LoR and NM LoR. If it doesn't match something in writing about the lore IDK, but I can confirm he stays very visible on the ground, laying there, destroyed, maimed, dead-dead, at the end of LoR/NMLoR. The flight you mentioned is at the regular "assassination" at ORO, and he isn't actually shown escaping, it's assumed, like all other bosses. No corpse left behind from any boss in WF, just like Obi Wan Kenobi, meme that.
The lore behind LoR/NMLoR actually points to that: serving justice against Vay Hek for the massive destruction of relays back at Eyes of Blight event. DE purposefully used the event to bring LoR/NMLoR, so even if the elders back then would have done the job right, at least 1 relay would have been rigged to be destroyed to introduce LoR and leave the Fomorian ships invasions in game as a recurrent mission.
About the present, DE dares to do it again, so we comply to play what they shove under our nose. After all, they made us grind the almost forgotten invasions for Zealot passes to fight some randomly created infested "Bishop", just like we got ESO and more inventory from Simaris to hit that sanctuary, and placed Arbitrations behind a wall of all-nodes-cleared so we do the entire map sooner. There are few more things they changed or added to have players play things we didn't want to or didn't get interested in before, like Archwing, which I enjoy but almost everyone else hate.
The game is in PermaBeta and its lore is growing (and made up) with the changes. Lets see what the future brings regarding raids.
