You will have to dig deep until you find something constructive here.
The thing is everyone is just so accustomed boosters running out already it's not even bothering anyone anymore. Also that they start counting right after you buy them and you cant even store them in your inventory for a later time is a bit off.
But hey everything to the max capitalism. They know what they are doing.
Btw just ignore all the "but its a free to play game" shills.
So you’re gonna take the time to post this comment, tell me you think I’m wrong, but not take 2 seconds to google it and check? Cool, bro. I see how you think.
Haha I appreciate the advice, but I’ve been posting and commenting on Steam’s forums for years now. I know that many people just come here to take dumps on other people’s ideas or to just be argumentative.
I don’t think half the people in this thread are here for that, though. There’s an easy dozen people or so on Warframe’s forum in particular that genuinely care about the game and even when I disagree with them, I respect the hell out of the post because it’s at least sincere.
And I think that it being a free to play game would make more people WANT a change like this as it’d be a cheap way to get extra everything-which is never a bad thing in this resource-fest of a game.
As for them not being able to be saved for later-I’ve been wondering why that’s the case as well. Thank you for bringing that up.
Then would you kindly stop arguing with me since you’re admitting you not only don’t know whether I’m right or wrong-but you’re not willing to take the time to check? Thanks. I don’t appreciate you wasting our time and derailing the thread with your skepticism and argumentativeness.
I know for a fact they don’t count down in ESO cause I own it, I play it, and the damned item’s description says it.
DE has F2P game out, as such they need to maintain engagement and one of ways games do that is by having your premium/booster time related to your real world time to fit more of a description of a hobby than a one time venture.
Lucky for us boosters are dirt cheap, just by playing sortie and selling month worth of Ayatans you should get at least one 30-day booster. It is a 30 day booster, it is not estimated for anyone to make use of full 720 hours of it but it is calculated by average playtime. And average playtime lets you buy at least 2 30-day boosters per month without paying any real life money.
You can get all 3 if you are half smart, do your Tridolons, sell maxed mods instead of ayatans cause you get crapton of endo from sorties,....
So you can whine all you want and claim things do not make sense to you just cause you do not agree with them - all same to this forum and DE. As most games do it, at least those games that make money and support couple hundreds of people and their families, DE will maintain the way they monetize the game because it has lead them where they are.
If they'd have to convert boosters to gametime you would not get 720 hour booster for 200 platinum. Then you would come back and whine more about greed and how you do not understand math, engagement, and many other things that are contained in the book called Theory of Fun, something Warframe's creative Director Steve Sinclair has mentioned quite a few times that it's a good read.
If they'd convert it 200 plat would be more like 60 play hours. Maybe a bit more but not 100. So this way you can make use of more if you plan it out.

Here you go, bud. Took me 10 seconds-less time than it took to write your 2 posts. Told you they don’t count down while offline.
I pointed to ESO cause it’s well known how greedy Bethesda is and look at this one cool thing they did to benefit players-wouldn’t it be great if the more player friendly DE did the same?
And thank you for agreeing with me that DE lets you get every booster active at the same time and keep them active for eternity because that’s how little they care about us using the boosters in the first place.
I like your idea of them tweaking the time for the boosters-not sure why you assumed I’d be “whining” about that if they made that change.
Then again-I think you’re just having a bad day or something and my unwillingness to change my mind for you and your bad arguments is upsetting you for some reason. I’m sorry if I’ve upset you in some way-but me suggesting this idea is not a personal attack on you, ok? No need to take it as such
willing if they even got cut down significantly, at least I wouldn't be wasting any while I'm sleeping or doing other things.
