i understand good lotus gone forever but why shes purple now

So they don't have to completely gut and re-voice 99% of the game's automaticaly triggered pop-up spacemom dialog after that point in the progression.

They just re-colored her to purple and let it untouched otherwise.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? Do you think level designers, map makers, and texture guys do writing work as well?

No, you dummy. The time, the money, the resources that COULD go towards writing a better storyline, are instead, wasted on a remaster that wasn’t needed and that nobody asked for.

And you would be surprised how many hats a developer has to wear these days.

Please help me follow your train of logic there. First of all, "better storyline" as in, what, a replacement for what we have? Or new stuff that would be of higher quality than what we have already?
Then from there, please explain to me how them giving the Plains a graphical pass, which mostly includes retexturing, creating some new models+textures for updating trees and the various foliage/clutter laid out around the map, adjusting light values, implementing new visual effects here and there, and updating AI navigation paths to work with the map's added geometry. Tell me how that gets in the way of the writing team working to discuss where they take the story, and then finalizing scripts and getting them in the hands of the audio teams and voice actors.

That's like complaining about the guys ( was it even multiple people or just one guy? [DE]Steve said it was one guy's work mostly during a devstream ) who were working on the Shawzin are the reason the New War is taking so long to get here.

I fail to see how Lotus leaving and being replaced by a simulation = DE sucks at story telling. I've seen far worse openings to a plotline.

Also is it bad storytelling, or just a story you don't like? There is a difference.
