Warframe Trading 101

Slightly inexperienced player here. I'm at the point where I'm starting to eyeball the trading scene. Confessionally, I brute-forced my way past the starting line by buying a Wukong Prime DLC pack and I'm currently sitting on 1.5k platinum. I want to get a Carrier Prime, but its retired to the vault and cant be relic farmed, so I'll have to trade for it. How do I go about doing this?

- How do I even trade?
- Where can I find a seller?
- Are there any reputable assistance sites, like TF2's Backpack.tf and Marketplace.tf?
- How to find the "price" of an item I might want?

Give me the whole wordy rundown please.

Okay, so trading is just a matter of interacting at a trading post in a clan or at the Bazaar.

How do I go about contacting people off Warframe.Market? Is there a way to directly contact them in-game, do I have to add them over Steam, what's the deal? I think is probably the last thing I really need to know before I can try it myself.

The link is provided so you can copy it and paste it into any chat in game .. the "w" at the start is to whisper directly to the trader. If you are buying a lot of the time they will invite you to their dojo.. just check if they are trying to rip you off on a dojo trade tax. All trades have a game tax but some clans add to that and it is listed as a separate charge you can see before you accept the trade.

Some people are actually clever enough to do that so they can spend their rep on rivens that give them more plat per rep.
Some however are so dump and blind by "omg never ever pay anything" bias they dont see such opportunities.

Like i said, the listing has two buttons. One of them will put a line to your clipboard. All you have to do then is go back into warframe, enter any chat input line and press ctrl+v and then enter. It will look like this:
/w Xenos Hi! I want to buy: Carrier Prime Set for 154 platinum. (warframe.market)

(name changed, but that line would otherwise be for the currently cheapest offer for your Carrier among those people that are "online ingame")

Warframe.market + dojo is the easiest way to trade by a huge margin. Everyone on the trade chat also uses dojo for trading. There really isn't much that could go wrong, if anything. I've traded with lots of people who have not traded before and probably not looked at any instructions either and their usual reaction is "wow, that was easy!" like pretty much every time. The easiest way to learn is to simply contact someone on warframe.market and to buy something. It's quick, it's easy, and you don't really need to know how to do anything. If you're the buyer you don't even need to interact with anything.
