Thermia Fractures Solo

Is it possible? I'd love to do some of these but the enemies on Orb are unbelievably aggressive. There is no comparison between Orb and Cetus in terms of difficulty. And if I try to do them with a group, the people are always doing something else. Seems like this is a dead mission at this point. I can't even signal a group before joining that I want to do these. Furthermore, the mission design is not very good: find a fracture, go find a console and then a data mass and then draw out a spider. By this time, even with Limbo, I am getting mutilated. It seems like this is mission is a waste of time at this point.

If you got Varazin dash that makes the thing invulnerable and it also heal.

I did that with one other guy and it works great, might be careful for EMP occasionally though.

Can these Amalgam mods be traded for? I can't find prices. Regardless, I'm not bothering with those fractures. Boring objective defense after hunting for a data mass and a spider. Just dreadful torture. Not even those mods or that gun can entice me. Wretched content.

Do it with a group, doing 4-6 fractures as a group is much faster. then doing it solo, it will require you almost 30 times to do it yourself.

Look in the recuriting channel, I prefer to be a mesa as it covers the area better and thins out the crowd.
I would think a nully will destroy your special as a limbo and you'll get wrecked solo, ie the target get's blown up.
The game can be done solo, but it's usually quicker and easier with even randoms. Just try to set up a time to leave, ie after every 2 fractures etc.

The vandal opticore is worth it.

Yeah its possible, I solo those with only a zephyr with lots of range. Never get damaged or lost canister.

Nekros and Octavia can solo thermia fracture pretty easily. Nekros' shadows will draw the aggro away from the canister while Octavia will draw and kill via her Mallet. Just make sure to keep destroying the beacon immediately and keep an eye on any nearby nullifier. Zephyr works just as well like BlueBomber said.

I dont even shoot the beacons. Bring them on!
You can try and search for fractures close to toroid farming points for double profit.
That is close to the Temple (might be a bad idea given mommy roams here), Enrichment labs and spaceport.

Also what do you do with the data mass? What data mass?

Just fly to the temple, look out for the big spider that roams in a circle around it. Pretty hard to miss, she's as huge as a building. Followed by smaller spiders. Kill a small one, grab the canister, go to a fracture.

OP probably meant the data mass that was used for that decoding thing when thermia fractures appeared for the first time. Now it's useless pretty much.

Thank you for all the advice. I just can't grind this crap. I imagine most of you were bored doing it. They should have run multiple mission types to seal the fractures. So tedious and the Amalgam mods aren't even good. I don't care about the Opticor variant. This content is an insult to the players. 100 times? No item is worth that much tedium.

Not 100 times. If you filled the canister 4 times, you get bonus 3 point, resulting 7 point.

You can put multiple canisters. As a solo I always put 2 so I finished the canister with just 2 fractures. 4 canisters is overkill for a solo player because the nullifier pulse happens very often.
Use octavia. Press 1,2,3
Crouch in rhytm with your 3 to go invisible and watch. Might want to take a high damaging weapon for jackals.
Oh and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spiders see you even in invisibility, so run away and attack from range

I used to solo it with Baruuk, maxed range and duration, keeping Lull active, but that was before they increase the fracture difficulty so I'm not sure how valid that strategy is anymore

Nekros with Shield of Shadows augment works pretty well, sacrifice range for survivability, ability strength and shadows willprotect you and cause enough agro for enemies to ignore the fracture.

Unless DE overlooked something, they shouldn't be tradeable. It's a safeguard against losing mods you can get only once.

The real value is when you put 4 in one can you get one diluted thermia to trigger the exploiter job.

That has Hidryn and other good drops.

Dunno how much a team boosts it specifically, but this time it took me only one (albeit relatively long) run to get nearly 200. Was fun. 4 people of course.

And the mods are pretty much worth it. That tiny bit of damage of one mod (so depending on mod setup way not that much of a loss) for 25% runspeed? Hell yea.

But even if they would give them as a "gift of the lotus" with 1 minute infested lvl 5 survival- there would still be people who complain why they couldnt just end up in their mailbox.
