you can build them with Blueprints and materials or buy with platinum.. so yes you can switch later on.

U can get the Bow later after u get the market up for credits.
The Bow is called Paris (Mk-1 I think)

There is another called Paris which is better but start with the MK 1 then work up

Afaik you can buy braton assault rifle with credits in market(in your ship)

You have to play missions gather credits and resources so you can buy Blueprints from the Market.

The Lex (a secondary) you can purchase from the Market with 50k credits and I think it's the only one you can purchase with credits, the rest is either with plat (comes with slot + catalyst already installed if you chose to go this route), or Blueprints (need resources to build them at your Foundry).

Some Blueprints are only obtainable in a Clan Dojo, so be sure to join one asap so you can have access to more weapons.

Also I THINK there are some redeemable codes for free weapons still around? I'm sorry but forgot what the code is for them or if they are still available. Hope someone who knows can give better info.

You can buy plenty of weapons directly with credits, there is no immediate need to build any.

Go to Arsenal where you choose your warframe and weapons. Click "Equip" on rifle and it opens a list of all weapons. Scroll down and you will find Braton that should cost 25 000 credits. Click on it and it will ask you if you want to purchase it.

Primary, Secondary and Melee have like 2-3 weapons that can be purchased with credits this way. The rest cost platinum so you have to buy their blueprint with credits from the Market or your clan Dojo or find the blueprint from an enemy and craft it.

You can buy the rifle for credits on the market place. The one you're looking for is the MK-1 Braton, though it's not a weapon for keeping. It's not super powerful and you'll wanna upgrade soon.

If you have chosen the MK-1 Paris by accident you can go to your Arsenal(Where you select and mod your Warframe(s) and weapons), hover over your bow and select "Equip", type in "Braton"- if you want an assault rifle - or "Strun" - if you want a semi automatic shotgun - and select the one you want. If you have 25.000 credits go for the Braton as it is clearly better than the MK-1 Braton(same if you decided that you want a shotgun instead).

As for pistols the Lato is fairly good for the first planests, if modded right it even works on the last planest as well.
These are the weapons you can buy with credits:
Primary:
- MK-1 Braton
- Braton
- MK-1 Strun
- Strun
- MK-1 Paris
- Paris

Secondaries:
- Lato
- Aklato
- Lex
- MK-1 Kunai
- Sicarus

Melee:
MK-1 Bo
MK-1 Furax

Skana costs 150 plat to buy, that is the only starter weapon that can only be bought by platinum or crafted via a blueprint.

Warframe is not the best in explaining things, the community either helps you or sends you to the Wiki of the game, you can find EVERYTHING at the Wiki.

Well, yeah, even as a verteran, i won't argue that. In the defense of the developer:
A lot of people in their own staff are already doing "undercover accounts".
They start new accounts, not using any premium currency, bossters or other advantages.
They do this because they are very aware of the issues new players have and they are trying their best du understand those problems and make it easier to get into the game.

The MK-1 Kunai, also a started weapon, are also avaliable for credits, and I would argue has some advantage over other started secondaries. It comes with 2 V polarties, is silent, and has a great mod called stockpiked blight, which gives Red Veil (+energy) AoE damage.
