FIRST PERSON camera option Please :)
So I recently got back into warframe and one of the things that was kinda annoying back then was the lack of an option of first person camera mode. Having been playing again I remember this was one of the reasons I stopped playing, not the main reason but it was one of them. Dont get me wrong I like the game an all that but first person would add a whole new feel to the game. It would clean up arkwing annoyances, clunky camera views ect. Your cape will not get into your center reticle when jumping, or whatever. You wont have your frame taking up important screen view. This should just be an option for players if they want to use it, instead of third person. Third person is nice to show yourself your frame and how he moves and looks, but first person is supperior in terms of screen view, aiming and what have you. You can play with either but my personal preference would be first person. I know what my frame looks like, I dont need him pretty much center screen all the time, especially my ark wing, man oh man it blocks my shots and is clunky.

But yeah, TLDR, please give us first person camera mode as an option. It would be a benifit to the game and attract a wider audiance. Wider audiance = more money for the company.

Here is an example of what I mean. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvzXFQKwH8k

Let me put this in simple terms because some people still do not understand what first person would entail in this game or what first person is at all. We already have the models in game, and any animation that wouldnt work, which would be rare, can put the camera back in third person while that animation is done. This is actually a simple mechanic, even a decent modder could do this.. The company wouldnt have to do much work at all. It simply puts the camera in front of, not behind your warframe. It doesnt roll with you, its a static camera that follows up or down the same way the current camera does, but its directly in front, it doesnt roll when you jump ect.. I know lots of people think first person follows your eyes, but it really doesnt. Its just simply chest level in front. It is also just an OPTION so everyone wanting only third person, can still only use third person by their choice. That is what option means, something you can choose to use or not.

First-person would look terrible with the kind of fast-paced acrobatic combat Warframe is filled with, not to mention put players at a direct tactical disadvantage with the reduced field of view. Most weapon models and animations would have to be completely rebuilt for first-person view to not look completely ridiculous. As such, it has exactly zero chance of happening.
This summarizes it perfectly. The devs have also already brought up the subject in one of the dev streams and said that it will never happen.

Its purely an option, you dont have to use first person. You can select third person for yourself.
The amount of work that would go into even adding the option would be equal to multiple expansions. First person is not the same as third person from the characters eyes, everything would need to be redone to work in first person: weapons, abilities, movement animations and who knows how many other things. Unless you're ok with a first person that does not show your weapons and abilities that is.

The problem is tht the game is designed around the 3rd person. A bullet jump, for example, would be a pretty dizzying experience in first person. Likewise, certain moves are not designed to be first person friendly at all. An example would be one of the sword finishers, which has you stabbing behind you. And so on.

Not entirely true because you could have the camera not spin at all or roll unless needed. Most movements in first person could have the camera fixed and not move with the object.

Instead of a 1st person veiw, I was thinking of adding a non-bias centered camera like from Halo when you mount on a vehicle the camera has a natural centered position and would only shift from left to right depending from the veiwing angles and distances.

If other people have asked for it, its clearly wanted by some people that play this game.

A small amount of people also wanted PvP in this game. And DE added it. Conclave. Broken, boring and most of the player base doesn't play it.
What does it show us? It shows us that if some feature's wanted by SOME players, it doesn't mean there's an actual need in this feature at all.
Not ot mention what @Sceles said:

'The amount of work that would go into even adding the option would be equal to multiple expansions. So you just ask devs to put a lot of work and money just to please relatively small part of players. It doesn't seem to be a good idea, in my opinion.

With a fixed camera I do think this could work. Here's the thing though with gaming in general. If x person wouldn't use y, then you'll never garner his support for its addition. It's simple really when you think about it, because doing y would take development time for a feature that x won't use and he/she would rather that time be spent on something they would enjoy or use.

That is more or less what these topics amount to even if it's not outright said. The only way I could ever see this done is with strong numbers backing it and while some certainly exist, it doesn't seem to be very many proportionate to the population. I'm not sure how I should end this, by saying good luck? Well, good luck. I wouldn't mind seeing it, but at the same time I don't feel like the game is lacking with it not there.

This. Seriously, Titanfall 2 and Metroid Prime are the worst examples. Firstly, they're built from the ground up to be first person. That's like saying you can throw a First Person View on Super Metroid and it would work. No. An entire game has to be built around the viewpoint, throwing in a new viewpoint to an already estabolished game means going back and changing the game itself. Which for a game that's constantly updating, would require a lot of backtracking and would halt any new content until this new view is done. So, you want DE to piss off 98% of it's fanbase just to please a minor 2%? Sorry, DE isn't as stupid as you apparantly are.

Secondly, Metroid Prime and Titanfall 2 aren't even similar to Warframe outside of shooting and some parkour. Metroid is about exploration and puzzle solving, Titanfall 2 is pure fast paced CoD style combat, and Warframe is a pseudo-mmo with gameplay mixing acrobatics, gunplay, and melee combat as well as a new open world segment. Plus Metroid and Titanfall don't have anything close to space combat, which Warframe also has. Let's just compare A Hat In Time to DOOM while we're at it?
