Corinth or Vaykor Hek which is better?

Lately a lot of people I've played with have said the Corinth is a better shotgun than the Vaykor Hek becasue it has better crit and scaling, are they right?

Vaykor Hek has a way better dps due to its larger fire rate. It's also the reason why it is so good despite its crit chance being quite low. If your first hit doesn't crit it's simple to fire a second one. With Corinth it's not the same because it fires much slower.

only the corinths alt-fire is worth considering when comparing those two weapons - and then, it still fails because of the different mechanic of those used fire-modes.
so, i would say none or both are better than the other ^.^
really, just test them both yourself - you'll need the MR-points anyway, right?

Ppl tend to dismiss corinth's alt fire but why you need buck shot to kill a mob of trash?? Just use the alt fire, this i feel trump vaykors hek's aoe since its not player controlled

However single target V.Hek has more rounds has a better balance between crit + status and has a better fire rate over Corinth

Better Status

Simply put Status>then crit for 90% of the game.

The Corinth can one shot lv 100 Bombards for sorties, I don't own the Vay Hek but I know it isn't pump action so Imma stick with the Corinth all day.

Corinth has a HUGE Blast radius with secondary fire.
I made a 20k damage Blast Build. Its fun

Vaykor is more reliable.
Use Vaykor for now and try Corinth later.

With shotguns you typically aim to oneshot the enemy if possible.

Corinth has higher per shot damage due to better crit stats.

Vaykor on the other hand has way better firerate and 3 more rounds in the mag.

When going vs armoured targets I'd take Vaykor with corrosive.

Against Infested / Corpus - Corinth.

Firing / reload sounds - way better on Corinth.

since when corinth is slash???
its priority is punkture 226.8
and then secondary is slash. 162
and third is impact 151.2
(having 3 highmedium dmg type makes is more usefull against different enemy types. not only against ONE type with just one armor type)

secondary. if you didnt know. elemental damage scales from total dmg weapon have, so,
hek have 78.8 + 341.3 + 105 = 525.1
corinth have 151.2 + 226.8 + 162 = 540

so, in the end of day, normal hek is better than vaykor hek, due 200% extra MS from justice. thats the shotgun you build with STATUS.

corinth is CRIT shotgun and gives no FK about status as its supposed to oneshot everything.

before u noobz spit bs, make sure you know what u talk about..

hek has more dps?? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?? can ur hek oneshot lvl 100+ mobs?? nop, so, u have 3 more rounds per mag and can kill half less mobs with that mag, i see no bigger dps..

and once again...... status?? who the f need status with shotgun?? its supposed to ONESHOT..
