The Tipedo
How good is the Tipedo? I know it is a staff and not a polearm but is it better than the Orthos Prime or more specifically, the broken scepter?

I have maxed out two weapons for it and I've had a lot of fun with them honestly but is the Tipedo good on its own or is it worth it just because of Lesion?

Orthos Prime and Tipedo can't really be compared since they fill different niches.
I can't wait to put a potato on it though is it any better than the broken scepter?

And the Lesion, is it worth using in sorties?

They all are kinda sidegrades to each other. Lesion is a good status weapon, but lacks crit. Has unique mechanics to it (when it procs, "it gets excited"). Tipedo is a very very fast critter. COnsidering it's also a Slash weapon - it can get pretty crazy with Relentless Combination and slash crit-procs. Broken Scepter is a good status weapon, has less damage than Lesion, but has a bit more crit. It also is mainly Impact, which puts it in a better place against Corpus and it can heal teammates.

I'd say, if you're interested in one, pick either of them. Tipedo for critical whirlwind, Scepter for supporting, Lesion for proccing with weird looking broom.

Vulbjorn answered the technical aspects of what makes them viable at sortie level or higher.

It boils down to a single question. Do you want crit+slash (Tipedo) or insane status chance(lesion) melee?
As a Soma junkie, I'll stick with the Tipedo

So Lesion and Dual Toxocyst work similarly?

Tipedo + Berserker + Clashing Forest = Fast Transportaion/Teleportation Method

Extra toxin damage and attack speed when you proc any status. Pretty nifty, if you ask me.
Well, at least it doesn't get an orgasm with headshots. Can't freaking use the Toxocyst against infested without getting wrecked.
