HARDEST RIVEN MOD CHOICE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE PLEASE HELP
I got two variations right now for magnus riven:
1: +16% Slash (it's based if I'm not mistaken) +5.5% to corpus +18.8% Crit Chance (base 20%)

2: +44.8% Overall Damage +19.7% Fire damage -4.4 Reload speed

I can't decide what's better, JESUS RNG WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS

Welp, I chose 2nd one, though it'd be nice if you told me whether I chose wrong.

+Slash is worse than +damage for Magnus so you chose the right one.

You made the right choice. Slash damage is based on itself, not total damage, so the increase would be very low.

I don't think magnus is a slash pistol, so #2 would have been best. That negative reload is going to hurt though, reload speed is already on the high side.

The first was great

As an impact based pistol, slash damage would have been useless to you, but at the same time, that longer reload time is going to hurt a lot. You'll get more damage out of the second option most defenitely with it's overall damage and fire damage, but everytime it comes to reloading you're going to be hating life.

Isn't negative reload speed a good thing?

Nope, sadly.

I personally wouldn't keep either.
The first increases crit chance, which is ok, the weapon's slash damage(base 12.4 out of 45.1), and has a damage increase against the squishiest faction.
The second massively increases damage, but will make the reload very painful, costing you a mod slot for QoL, or your sanity.
