Is the grind for Nidus parts as bad as I've heard?
I just got done with Glast Gambit, but I'm sorely tempted to just buy the Nidus bundle because the grind sounds awful for both Nidus and the Hema. I have more than enough plat for it.
What do you guys think? What's everyone's first impressions of the Infested Salvage?

might just buy him coz all these stretch mods am getting are so annoying, ive done over 20runs i still have 1 system

Took me 5 missions, just solo it (The speed is faster with less players) with warcry valkyr and max range orthos prime and mash to victory

I ahve farmed for every farme in this game until today I purchased my first frame from the market... I did over 15 runs on the salvage mission that we made it to at least the first c rotation (several failed due to a complete lack of the serum stuff) and I recieved not a single piece of nidus... it is not a fun mode... I could not fathom doing it for howevermany times I would need to to complete him...

It's torment.

If not that you can do 1 rotation in 1 min and that it drops Meso/Axi Relics I think I would cut myself.

Get yourself SpeedNova and some DPS Frames like Saryn/Ember/Equinox and make sure your group isn't bigger than 3ppl and you should be able to do 4 rotations in less than 5 mins.

It's not as bad as it was since they increasted the Antitoxin drop...... Initially you where pretty much forced to choose between

A) fix your armor so you don't insta die (when the degridation didn't decide to just randomly break)

or

B) maybe possibly keep one or two of the nodes up and running.

And it was pretty much an either or situation. That said the drop can still be a bit twitchy.

Finishing it up was still kinda a slog tho since the other rewards in the C tier are pretty terribad. 80 Endo or Stretch are kinda a slap in the face. It would be a lot better if the other rewards had been something that made you think "Ya know I really wanted Nidus parts but I'm OK with this"

Just got the last part I needed (helmet, I still don't like using the made-up new word they used to replace "helmet"). In my opinion, they do very desperately need to rework the drop tables to make the rest of the rewards not quite so worthless as they are currently, but as far as I'm concerned the grind isn't quite as bad as everybody makes it out to be (if anything, it feels a bit reminiscent of old Void...), and there are at least a few decent relics that you will get in the process. In all honesty, your worst challenge would be finding a decent squad to grind it with - I haven't seen WF's community this toxic in a LONG time.

it's the worst grind so far.
So i think and this is partially a guess... i did around 10-15 missions before i got all the parts, a couple hours of farming basic advice..

1: use Nekros with despoil for extra serums, part of issue with the missions is lack of serums at times
2: Hyrdoid can be useful IF and i stress this, you go low duration, high power, low range, idea is to hit 4 murder everything and be done. Yes and pilfering swarm worked ok with a nekros and i side by side we were getting tons of serums more then we could even use
3: learn the mission i know this is a given but i see so many who just stood outside the bubbles, or worse yet WERE not using there serum and stood around killing and not contributing...

This makes its alot easier, but you can probably solo this pretty easy, my friend and i duo'd it a good bit, with zero problems. But its all down to RNG its far easier to get then some of the old void parts, but it does feel like a step backwards from what they were going for. My advice? move Nyx to the Dojo...or onto another boss and slap nidus on Phorid it makes WAY more sense then this weird salvage mission...

I just ran this 4 times and got all of the parts. The mission itself was pretty easy with the changes they made to the drop rate. I think I got 10 relics in the 4 runs as well. It's worth noting that I had four players in each run and they knew what they were doing.

Sometimes RNG works in your favor.

Did quest and collected all parts in under 3 hours. Only issue is that there was literally zero explanation where to get part bp's after quest ends and how to do salvage mission. I really hated a fact that I had to fail few times until I got used to stupid map design and how to manage resources. At least a good thing is that there are two maps for same mission and one of them is light years ahead of another making mission somewhat decent.

Nidus: Requires Rotations C of Infested Salvage. All parts at 14.29% drop rate. Rotation C also contains 80 Endo, Stretch, Metal Auger and Vital Sense mods all at 14.29%.
Limbo Excavation: all rotations drop the related part, but at varying DR's -- 2.58%, 22.56%, 33.33%
Nezha (prior to TWW): 7.33% to 7.55% for all parts, but they could be traded
Ash: Requires non-Drekar manic spawn. 7.4% to 12.8%
Oberon: Require Eximus enemy variant spawn. 2.256% to 3.872%

All other non-primed Warframe parts are either guaranteed via quest or around 22.5% to 38.7% for assassination node completion.

Limbo excav quest still gives me cancer till today.I don't want the same thing to happem to Nidus ;-;
Kramer Dec 23, 2016 @ 5:14pm
Nidus have been quite easy for me. With almost 15% of drop chance on ROT C i've got the 3 parts in less than a day.
Hema is another problem ;) For my clan, it's 150 000 mutagen sample that are need, and we only reach around 5000 in one day... So, i have to confess that i've bought the Hema weapon ;) Maybe DE will figure that it's just too much and lower it a bit... Or they just need some plats for hollidays...
Red Paragon Dec 23, 2016 @ 5:51pm
I'm going to be honest, it took me around six hours to actually get all the parts. I rushed him, and he has easily become my favorite frame now. He is so strong, its pretty ridiculous.
