There are F2P games that does similar things. ( League of legends for example ), also I would think that it is their so that scammer/btches can't just change their name so that they can avoid punishments.

yeah but warframe is coop not competitive, no need to punish the players like that.

200 plat is way too high to pay for a Nickname change.

They should make it at least $5 worth of plat (75 plat)

Yes, you can trade for 200 plat quite easily.

Yes, alot of people use http://warframe.market/ to sell / price check stuff so getting platinum isn't really that hard if you're willing to put in the time and effort to get prime sets, augment & prime mods, focus lenses even, corrupted mods, syndicate or other special weapons, etc

Changing your aliases shouldn't be cheap, also, many games cahrge you to change your ingame aliases so i don't see whats the problem here.
