Weird pink "eye" thing on my neck?

Today I noticed a weird pink "eye"-like growth on the neck of my warframe.
Has that always been there?
What is it?
Is there a way to get rid of it?

This is a cyst. To remove it you have to wait till it matures (7 days) and go sit in that chair in the infested room.

You may have encountered warframes with a cyst in previous missions which would have infected you.

It doesn't do anything to your warframe other than looking bad. However, you can use it to breed an infested pet. Thus consuming it in the process.

The chair option cures it completely and that warframe won't be infected again.
