I have Ayatan Amber & Cyan stars, and an Ayatan Ayr sculpture.

How do I put the stars in the sculpture?

Go to your mod table on your ship, where you'll find a button to take you to your Ayatans. There, you select the statue, which will take you to a 3d view of the statue itself. Then you just click on the empty slots in the statue to slot your stars into it (note that each slot can only use one of the two varieties of stars; the exact set of stars that can be added depends on which variety of statue it is).
