"Open 3 meso void relics"?

I tried looking this up on the wiki, but I'm still really confused.

So, from what I gather, void relics are like loot boxes from TF2/CS:GO/Overwatch or whatever. You need to open them to get goodies. Are they necessary for getting further in the game?
Exactly what can I get the ones that I need to unlock Uranus? I checked my inventory, and I have one meso void relik, and a boatload of others. Is there anything I can do to get the other 2 quickly? How do I open them?

To open void relics you will need to select a fissure for that specific relic tier such as Meso then when in the mission kill Corrupted enemies and they will drop reactant. Collect 10 of these by walking over them and you will be able to choose a reward at the end of the mission or rotation. Relics you can get by doing various mission types such as interception, survival, defense, spy, etc.

Void relics are the only other way that you can get Prime parts or blueprints other than trading with other people. Prime Warframes/Weapons usually being an upgrade of their normal version, but generally Prime Warframe wise they aren't too much of an upgrade with the exception of Volt Prime.
