Planes Of Eidolon map size?
Saw the map they released, but nothing to look at for scale really. How big across do you guys think it will be? I'm hoping for a good 20km or so.

Someone did a comparison to a corpus level and it ends up being kind of small actually (some 80-190ish times the size of the level MINUS multiple floors and intertwining paths). If you are bullet jumping, using Sonic (volt), a Tribes frame (Nezha), flying a Gundam, etc. you can cross it in 1-4 mins or so depending on just how fast you are going. It will be pretty straight forward even with some minor geometry slightly impeding your way. It will definitely be big enough to be a worthwhile update if it has plenty of content in it. It is small, probably far smaller then most expected, but it is still a reasonable size.

2.25x2.25, it was a mistake and smaller then they originally stated. It mentions sprawling caves but this is kinda unlikely. The ones they did show were incredibly lacking in size/variety/content though they weren't entirely finished such as lighting.

EDIT: It should also be mentioned that the caves are likely even more lacking then initially thought because they were so empty and tiny, for what was shown, and so incredibly unfinished and that wasn't shown all that long ago... Odds of intelligent meaningful population of stuff in these caves to see, do, etc. is quite small. I wouldn't expect to much from them.

They said it would be precisualy generated and only avaliable during plain quests. That build also did not have fishing in it either and assets were not finished till later. It's too soon to assume the caves will be lacking.

I saw it was the size of the skyrim map. It would not be small like a corpus mission no way in the world there would be this much hype about a map that is the size of a regular mission. if its open world its going to be big.

Last official word was 2.25km x 2.25km. Sorry, 20km was NEVER so much as suggested in the devstreams for this first open-world node.

They showed fishing in a dev stream prior to that one so, unless they had to disable fishing temporarily for some reason it was definitely in that build. The reason caves are likely lacking is due to the fact that the dev stream was not all that long ago and it is unlikely they populated the caves with content, intelligently, in any substantial manner within such a short time frame. Perhaps they had a very polished plan drawn up, but that is not very likely. They have had a lot to work on so it isn't even the full time frame between that dev stream where we saw the caves and now that would be alloted towards progress on the caves which is something else to keep in mind.

Don't know if they said caves are procedurally generated unlike the Plains but, if they are, that means the odds they have meaningful content significantly drops further. It also means they will quite possibly be incredibly bland/repetitive.

It isn't a guarantee they will be bad but odds are based on the info we have we shouldn't expect much.

Looking online it isn't even close to the same size as Skyrim. In addition, no one walks/runs really. They tend to bullet jump/slide so imagine running through Skyrim (even tho it is way smaller than Skyrim's map) but you are running about 8-10x faster due to bullet jump/slides. Now imagine using the flight mode in PoE or Volt/Nezha which could make even Skyrim feel small.

did you see prime time i think it was on 198 or so they said that caves are procedurally generated and they also said fishing wasn't in the build they were playing

Well if your intending that it is going to be bigger than the skyrim map then ok. But even with archwings flying across the skyrim map would take some time. They would not call it "Open World" If it was not going to be a big map. And for a fast paced game like warframe you would need a big open world.
