How to solo Raptor?

Hey all,

I would like tips on how to solo Raptor now that it has been fixed. I am aware that I could group up with people, but I like to try and defeat every mission on my own first.

Every boss I encounter can be soloed, except this boss. I come from a raiding background in WoW, so I can accept that I have to avoid his near-instant-kill moves to survive.

However, after taking into account survivability, that leaves the dps. I have to kill at least 3 raptors to destroy the 3 generators. The problem is that I have to empty more than half of my ammo just to kill one, and I do not have enough to kill two more.

I already maxed out magnetic damage to take out the shields fast, but for some reason the life is very hard to damage. Checking the wiki shows that it actually only has 25 armour. I don't understand, Lech Kril has more armour, and more health, but dies easily.

I am aware that I could craft stronger weapons, but most of them require Nano Spores, which is only available in Saturn onwards, AFTER the Raptor boss.

So I would like tips on how to get enough dps to kill 3 Raptors. I am even open to using my potato for a good weapon, but I prefer to use it on an auto-gun. I have been saving up my potato because I was told most of the early guns are not worth spending the potato.

I've always used shotgun, that brings them down fast. Such as tigris or hek, I also used opticor. While moving all over the place. But since you prefer automatic weapon. Actualy i would like to know wich weapons you have. It's easier to help someone if you know what are you working with.
As a frame you can use zephyr. She can keep you safe from nearly everything he throws at you. Exept for the beam variation.

I did like 3 runs today and they always spawned.

If that's your only gun. Then it will take a while for you to kill him. You'll have to pump some ammo into him. I tested my krarak (wraih), wich also happends to be without potato and forma. It should take aprox mag and a half for your karak to take down one of them down. Since Karak Wrait is little bit stronger Mods i used: Serration,split chamber and mal. force.
I also wanted to mention that you CAN farm nano spores. In orokin derelict. All you need to do is buy a derelict key blueprint in market. And quitar your good to go.
I also recomend you to pile up some other weapons like shotguns,snipers,bows,etc. They will be useful.

All weapons are good if you mod them properly.

Shotguns are good because of burst damage,if you mod a good rifle it can wreck everything just as good tho.

Because you dont have to pump ammo into them. You just shoot once or twice and their done. If you have decently moded gun.

Ok but why is a decently modded auto-gun not as good as a decently modded gun of other types? Are you saying other guns can output more damage due to having a higher damage-ammo ratio?

Ok but why is a decently modded auto-gun not as good as a decently modded gun of other types? Are you saying other guns have more ammo capacity than an auto-gun?

No they just deal more damage in a single shot. Wich makes the fight faster.
I'm talking about auto guns in this fight. Not in the overall game.

I used trinity on them I just pressed 2, 3, 4 and shoot them with my tigris(normal one) back then. Her 2nd stops them from moving around at the same time damages them, while her 3rd(also helps in damaging them) and 4th keeps you alive and tank the damage unless nullies appears. Use radiation(heat+electricity) on them.

If you ahve a frost run in put a bubble on each tube thing he spawns in it will slow him then just run on top and blast down ontop of him with something strong enough to kill him fast then just move to the next tube. Since he dies in the tube the bomb is already there . ITs my favorite way to kill it.

Sorry guys I caved and grouped up for Raptor, because I feel like Raptor is way overtuned to be soloed.
