Recovering lost login days
I know DE said that they are working on players being able to choose a path twords what they want, but that still dosent fix the base issue of players falling behind on actual login days, or even touch players that have fallen behind on a couple of logins here and there because thier net broke down or had circumstances that prevented them from logging in that day, and are now weeks behind the current reward. An idea i had was introdusing a new resource, caleld "time shards" that are used to craft a "login day" consumable (maybe call it the Lotus Key?), which would also require rare resources like Nitan, Ducats and Oxium (to prevent casuals from exploiting the system and devaluing it) Time shards could drop from a new RAID to introduce them to further reinforce its application, and you could then turn in the Key to either a new NPC or a new menu at the market.

When you dont login you havent "lost anything" you mere havent logged in. Where you were upto is the exact point you come back at, no loss of progression.

The whole getting left behind is nothing more than people beliving that its a race to get things and if your regulary dealing with people who beilve that they are better for having stuff before you then find better people to deal with.

Nothing in the Rewards that have come from login have been anything that makes the game unplayable without.

I feel like that would remove the point of login rewards unless it were limited to you can only make one every 7 days and only if youve missed over a week that month.

Login rewards are rewards for logging in, as the name suggests.
I'm pretty sure he's referring to people who were around well before the current (relatively new) login reward system. From what I've heard there was a different login system earlier on in the game, which only tracked consecutive days rather than cumulative; that is, missing a day would set you back to day 1 under that old login reward system.

Except when there are exclusive items that you are looking forward to using, and even though you have religiously logged in and played the game everyday for 5 years but are stuck 14 days behind because one day 6 months ago you where too sick to get out of bed, and last year your router died for a week, it's irritating to feel penalized for it.

The point of login rewards is to keep you coming back everyday. There's nothing wrong with that, but not enabling players to make up days they had no way to avoid missing, therefore penalizing them, loyal players, is just wrong. After 2 (?) Years of faithful logins, I'm 18 days behind, in another 2 years at the same rate I'll be 2 months behind the current reward? What kind of B's is that?

Only exception is time-limited events, but that's a staple of every multiplayer shooter. The worst you can miss is a Gift of the Lotus alert, but honestly, there's nothing else to actually "miss".

Its not a race and you didn't got penalized for anything.
You simply will get rewards in your time when it will come just like everypne else.

Yes there is a group of day 1 people, but that group will continue getting smaller and smaller.

Just stop obsessing about these things and let them go. You will get them sooner or later.

Except that your not behind anything except your notion that its a race and that you somehow lose if you dont get it at the same time as someone who has missed no days. The rewards are for logins, why should you be able to "catch up" to someone who has been there everyday.

They have mentioned that they are looking at a new selectable system where you can choose what your working toward on a 50 day track

I am more butthurt that i logged in everyday when the daily login reward didnt exist,so imagine my surprise when i already have played for 500-600 hours just to return to the game one day and it says.... Day 1

The problem is certain prime mods are locked behind the login rewards. Were they accessable another way this wouldn't be an issue, but when certain mods that make a significant difference to your power are locked behind a very very very very very large time gate, it does cause an issue.

In order to level up those Primed mods you need a large amount of endo which a new player wont have anyway. Also the game is PVE you dont race against anyone than yourself

Except for the 'small' problem that you don't need to be a 600 day player to be able to max a primed mod.
Even 200 days is well after the new player stage.
Sure, a new player won't get the full benefit of the mods, but it is a significant power jump locked behind up to a 600 day time gate. It simply doesn't need to be that locked.

You also dont need primed mods to be effective in the battlefield. Regular mods do that just fine
