Good early game weapons?
So I'm on M1 but I can get M2 by the end of today and I was going to get the Boltor since I heard it was good, but the video was kind of outdated. Any suggestions of early game weapons?
Another thing is when I looked to see what Corpus were weak to I got a bunch of different answers but they all seem to be from 2013, so what are they weak to?

Braton Prime, Atterax. Then at MR 3 the Lex, at MR 4 you can go for the Hek.

Use magnetic damage against corpus (cold+electricity).

Go for a weapon you can bring into endgame. I suggest opticor, and these are the faction weaknesses:
Grineer: corrosive for all units, radiation for heavy units
Corpus: magnetic
Infested: fire

Any weapon can be made "good enough", so focus on something that fits your play style or seems cool to you. As for weaknesses, the answers conflict because each individual enemy has different weaknesses, and most enemies of the same faction tend to have similar ones. I suggest you scan enemies and check their stats in the codex to start getting a sense of what to use when. Generally, impact works against shields (corpus), puncture against armor (grineer and some infested), and slash against pretty much anything. Viral and radiation are good elementals because viral cuts enemy max health, and radiation turns them against each other. Radiation is also very effective against some of the toughest enemies like napalms and bombards

The wiki for the game - http://warframe.wikia.com

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Weapons_Mastery_Rank - lists weapons by mastery rank [you might want to look up Weapon Comparison and do some cross-referencing]

Damage vs Corpus? http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_2.0

TLDR: Corpus can have shields [+Impact works well vs shields] but are vulnerable to Toxin / Viral and Slash damage... but most of us just put on +Corrosive +Blast and forget about it.

sobek, an amazing shotgun. Better for corpus, but excellent all around. Others do more damage per shot, but there is a lot to be said for full auto & a big magazine.

boltor is fine. It is a bit better against grineer. I never loved it like so many, it has projectile flight time lag but it hits hard and can take you past level 30 stuff with minimal effort.

I like corrosive/cold for all around. Cold messes with both armor and shields.

The boltor is still a good early game weapon. It's a strong weapon, it just got superseded by newer weapons and mods that worked better with other weapons, however that's more for Kate game content.

Sonicor was the best early weapon for me. Its a pistol that is pretty much a wrist cannon that will ragdoll just about anything.

I'm going to put viable early game weapons that don't require clan research and are easy to acquire by either purchasing, or easy to acquire with the relic system (i.e. not needing Axi Relics). I'll note a few good early game clan tech weapons seperately should you decide to join a clan.

One important thing to note is that I like to recommend weapons that you will be able to use throughout the game. This means that you can feel free to purchase them and keep them rather than just using them as Mastery Fodder. Some of the weapons on the list are better in early game and will have clear upgrades later, but I'll note these weapons for you.

Melee:
Atterax (MR2) - A very solid endgame viable weapon with both viable Crit and viable Status. Frequently makes it into the top 5 melee weapons lists. While whip style weapons aren't really my thing, its very effective if you like them.

Dual Zoren (MR2) - My personally recommended Dual Sword set for the early game (it can also go late game, but imo the Twin Basolk will serve you better there). Can be upgraded into the Twin Basolk at MR3 if you prefer having a Status Weapon instead of having a Crit based weapon.

Ether Reaper (MR3) - A surprisingly decent Scythe weapon given that the Ether weapons have a reputation for being not that great. Has good attack speed, decent damage, and 15% Status and 15% crit. Its cheap to build, so you aren't at a disadvantage.

Galatine (MR3) - A really solid early game Heavy Blade (insert compensating joke here). Has an upgraded version in the Galatine Prime that is frequently regarded as one of the best Melee Weapons in the game, but that's MR13 locked... so it will take you a while to get there.

Kronen (MR3) - A good Tonfa style Weapon. Eventually upgraded into the Boltace. Getting the Plastids for it can be a bit difficult.

Ninkondi (MR0) - An excellent Status based Nunchuku set that packs quite the punch. Requires Plastids to build, so its a little bit more tricky to acquire and you'll need to tag along with someone to Phobos.

Orthos Prime(MR2) - One of the easiest primes to get and easily one of the very best weapons for early/mid-game. You can also make it work into endgame, so its a natural one to pick up and keep. Currently my most used Melee Weapon btw and I'm at MR17, so that tells you how good it is.

Prisma Obex (MR0) - This one is a bit hard to get since its only brought by Baro, but definitely worth getting when you see it.

Redeemer (MR4) - Its a gunblade and a cool one at that.

Tipedo (MR3) - One of the best staff weapons. Fast and has very good status and very good crit chance. You will need Neural Sensors for it, so you will have to get a taxi to Jupiter for those.

Twin Basolk (MR3) - An excellent status based dual sword set. The best one that doesn't require clan tech or Relics to get.

Primaries:

Braton Prime (MR0) - A solid enough assault rifle for early and mid-game. Falls off more in late game, but still worth keeping around.

Burston Prime (MR0) - A solid enough burst rifle for early and mid-game. Once again falls off in late game.

Dread (MR0) - This bow is a bit random to get a hold of. Technically you have to defeat the stalker which may be easy or difficult depending upon if you are with an experienced group or not. The issue with this one is getting hold of the Plastids that you need for it, but you can request a taxi to Phobos for that. Quite a solid weapon overall.

Kohm (MR2) - Another good shotgun availible pretty early. Ammo economy is the only real issue with this weapon.

Harpak (MR3) - A pretty good early/Mid-game rifle style weapon. If you really like it you can probably make it work later than that.

Hex (MR4) - Likely the best shotgun that you can acquire in the early game (and perhaps the best primary of the early game). Due to its augment, the late game Vaykor Hek is a sidegrade rather than a pure upgrade.

Paris Prime (MR4) - One of the very easiest primes to get. Its a very effective bow, especially vs. the Grineer.

Sobek (MR4) - A very good shotgun that takes some work to get where it needs to be.

Tonkor (MR5) - One of the better launcher weapons. Just be aware that like all Launchers, it has the downside of self damage.

Vectis (MR3) - Early/Mid-Game. My pick of the early game sniper rifles. While you won't keep it around forever, its a bit easier to get than the others and will serve you well.

Zhuge (MR0) - Very Expensive to Craft for starting players, but one of the most viable bow weapons into Endgame (technically its an automatic crossbow). Feel free to Potato/Forma it.

Secondaries
Akjagara (MR3) - A pretty effective slash focused status pistol set. Downside is that they require a lot of weapon components, but pretty decent overall. Kind of held back beyond mid-game because of their lack of crit chance (the best pistol sets are usually crit/status hybrids), but you can build them for slash procs more effectively than other pistols, so there's that benefit.

Akmagnus (MR0) - My personal recomendation for an early game pistol set since they are more viable for longer than other options such as the Lex, Sicarus, or AkJagara because of their 25% crit and 25% status chance at base. They remain viable into lategame and will take you further than the other starting options. The difficult part as a new player is getting the Orokin Cells for them, but if you can get someone to taxi you to Ceres, you should be able to get those. Currently represent 67% of my secondary use time.

Atomos (MR4) - A pretty decent fire/beam pistol. It takes some work to get to where it needs to be, but if you like how it works, than it is extremely effective vs. the infested and the like.

Fusilai (MR5) - Excellent Throwing Knives at a not too expensive cost.

Gammacor (MR2) - Early/Mid-Game. A pretty good beam pistol. While it has an upgraded version, you will need to acquire it from Cephalon Suda and that won't occur until later.

Lex(MR3) - Uniquely can be bought for 50,000 Credits bypassing the construction resource cost. If you have not built another viable early game pistol by MR3, consider picking this pistol up. Will eventually be replaced in your arsenal by the Lex Prime which is easy to acquire, so don't put forma/catalysts into it.

Lex Prime (MR5) - A very solid endgame pistol.

Sonicor (MR2) - A very solid CC style secondary weapon.

Clan Tech Mentions:
Attica (MR0) - If you can get into a clan, its a viable alternative to the Zhuge (Though not quite as good imo) and costs a lot less.

Jat Kittag (MR5) - One of the best hammers in the game.

Guandao (MR4) - A good Crit polearm. Consider it the crit version of the Orthos Prime.

Tonbo (MR3) - A pretty good Status based Polearm.

Sonicor and Atomos are very good.

I should also mention that the Boltor drops off really quickly along with most of the other early game rifles. You will notice in the very early game that Secondaries massively outperform primaries. This will even out once you reach MR3/MR4 and begin to be able to build better primaries (there are a few really good ones at lower level that I listed, but these will take longer to get than their MR hints), but I wouldn't recommend investing in the starter primaries like the Boltor, Braton, Burston, etc. for this reason. Its better to put your effort and resources at the start into weapons that will last into at least mid-game rather than investing into a Mastery Fodder weapon that will just be thrown away.
