So now they're crashing into earth and forcing people to fight them.
Party bus has brakes, party boats do not. It'll dock with earth by just slamming into it.
Stinky, floppy, jellyfish. Washed up on the beach now. And then what are you going to do, jelly? When I come by and poke at you with my stick?
Well, technically, the whole thing could've been full of some lighter-than-air gas, making it float to the ground as opposed to crashing into it (those large yellow... things on it definitely do look like they are cavities with probably air/other gas and infested spores or whatnot). Typially, lithobraking can oftentimes lead to varying degrees of RUD (Rapid Unplanned Disassembly), which is simply not the case here. Also, the thing didn't burn to crispy crunchy infested tendrils upon entering the atmosphere, and hanged above Cetus for quite a while.
Bottomline, the pile of Infested Goo is either Magical, or actually planned to land somewhere around Cetus (or on Earth in general).
Well, in his case, this is something what online trolls do, too - get community [temp?]banned for misbehaving! \o/
