Duo Frames?

Me and my wife are both new to this game and my wife went out and immediately bought Octavia since she likes how she looks. She says she wants to play her as a support so im trying to figure out what frame would work well with her. We only play with each other instead of public matches. Do you guys have any suggestions? Im sure any frame would work out but if there are any significant combos that are out there I would like to know. TY

Trinity is your primary support frame. she has energy drain that replenishes energy for her and everyone else and blessing which heals. she can also boost shields.

Octavia's second ability can collect enemies in a small pile and makes them defenseless. You may want a warframe that can deal damage to groups, for example, Nova, Saryn, Nidus, Ember, Excalibur, Mesa.

I mean... whatever you want, really. Octavia can already just have the game play itself automatically on a lot of maps.

well octavias 4 boosts weapon dmg by 260% unmodded so i'd go with any frame that deals most dmg by weapons.. personally i'd pick any of frames that summon their own ranged weapon with 4 like excal/mesa/ivara/titania, their exalted weapons are strong as hell on their own, out of these ivara can make stuff like holding points/excavators a breeze with cloak arrow but then again octavia also provides stealth

You'll find some content that really is geared for a full cell of four players, but I play and have played much of the time on Solo, because it avoids being rushed by others, etc.

As for another frame, literally anything would probably be fine, especially alongside Octavia. Did you choose Excalibur as your starting frame? He is a very solid frame all the way from beginning content through to "endgame" stuff (though FashionFrame is Endgame, obviously ;) ).

also dont just go and buy frames with plat.. most are easily farmable or behind quest.. octavias quest was fun to do
better save the plat for slots

Since you are the husband go tanky frame. Warframe doesn't have specific frame combos. Only the usual stuff - tanky, caster, support, melee, range.

I'd say any frame that does not CC or AoE the crap out of all enemies is good, because Octavia needs to have enemies shoot her 1 in order to deal damage. She does not work well with frames that clear the enemies before they get a chance to shoot. Disarm Loki would propably work really well together with her because it makes the enemies get close to melee range, thus reducing line of sight issues with Octavia's AoE.

Nidus doesn't synergize terribly well with Octavia since her kit is about drawing fire and damage over time. Half Nidus' kit is CC and aggro-drawing.

Nova and Saryn are good potentials and so are Harrow, Trinity, Ember, or Mesa.

For Frames that work well togeather, I would suggest any to frames. Whats more importent is your fashion. Thats the real end game... though, it could be fishing now...

I would just play the game a bit and try out different stuff. I swap frames a lot, as I find it gets dull playing the same one all the time. In time you develop the styles and figure out the types of skills you like to use and can figure out a dynamic duo.

Right away I would suggest nezha. You can get a faction mod to make her invincible (you can do to yourself regardless) and with that the two of you can get a lot done quickly towards earning good mods and better stuff. He is available in the clan stores and crafting, but you seem to be a buy not earn path...

Harrow has amazing CC, Healing, can buff Fire Rate & Reload Speed, Restore Energy, and grant Damage Immunity + a Crit Boost.

Octavia has amazing CC that trivializes almost everything, Provides various buffs, and has one of the best Damage Boosts in the game.

If this were a strictly PvP game, they would be broken.
