I said Machete in the last thread asking this... I'll say Machete now. I'll probably say Machete the next time as well...
Not only is it an archwing weapon that requires 3 syndicates and clan research, but it also totally fails for sake of everything you might want from a weapon. It's a space shotgun that works similar to the Drakgoon, and has about the same falloff range, meaning that at the range you normally shoot things at in archwing, each pellet does a small fraction of the listed damage. Even with the charge up, the effective range is tiny so your charged up shot does horrible damage unless at point blank range. Even as MR fodder goes it is horrible since archwing missions are already a chore to run so you can't just get carried for 15 rounds of a defense mission and trash it.
{I am not counting the MK-1 weapons, as they are intentionally underpowered starter weapons, and MR fodder for those of us who started with something else}
Try Sicarus. It's even worse.
Oh, I well remember the Sicarius, and it was not fun. It's still better than Kraken.
Barely leveled the gorgon and currently rank 27 on the fang, it's like it barely even levels it's so bad. Extra
