Guess I can try to sell this thing for 7 billion plat then. Thx for the helpful advice.
Theres no set price on rivens, you make the price. They can have different stats and have different prices based on weapon they're for. Torid is borderline worthless, probably 40 50p, as opposed to something like a Tigris or Astilla where someone can ask 4 or 500 just for unrolled.
And still, you can ask 500 for the Torid.
I'd hardly call it useless, mod it for blast and corrosive and you have a very effective crowd control weapon as those clouds mean the enemy is continually knocked down and remains in the clouds, losing armour to corrosive procs all the while.
The riven I have on mine adds multishot and electric damage and is incredibly effective even on sorties.
It deals a lot of damage on direct hit and the gas gloud is very effective at stacking status procs to, for example, strip armour
It also has decent crit stats.
Gas torid is arguably one of the most effective weapons to use with Saryn for stacking toxin DOTs and popping spores.
The downsides to it are slow fire rate and reload, which admittedly can make it somewhat annoying to use, which are definitely good reasons not to like the weapon but it's far from useless.
Try at least using the weapon before you dismiss it.
I didn't call it useless, but yea, its worthless next to actual good weapon rivens, damage is bad, fire rate is awful, long reload, projectile travel time is dreadful. Mod an mk1-braton enough and it will do a sortie as well. Otherwise its warframe, not exactly mind boggling difficulty outside perhaps long duration missions, play with whatever you like.
You're forgetting the lingering clouds.
Also worthless is pretty much the same as useless.
My torrid can effortlessly take a few lvl 150 corrupted eximus bombard out of action in one shot. Doesn't matter how big or scary they are, if they're constantly getting knocked down then they aren't a threat.
The torrid is a crowd control weapon, you put some clouds down on choke points and slaughter everything that gets stick in them.
Comparing it to a Tigris is just wrong.
No, you can't one shot a L150 bombard, you might shoot him and then watch him sit in the cloud for the next several seconds, and were pretending you even have time to do that, because the other 99% of grineer give no ♥♥♥♥♥ for your clouds, you either take them out or they take you out. i'll put you in an open map and nobody sits in the clouds, choke points are also nowhere to be found now. It will be compared to tigris, and astilla, and zarr, and vaykor hek and everything, because they fall under the same primary weapon category. Anything with very high status and blast is crowd control, still doesn't make a torid, or its rivens, worth much.
But you gonna have to find someone else to indulge this nonsense for another 20 posts or whatever you're looking for. Take care, praise torid.
As far as riven value torrid rivens are about intermediate value, certainly not worthless. 200-500 for a good roll.
Also 'open map'? Goalpost shifting much? The vast majority of maps are confined spaces and have plenty of choke points
The fact you're still trying to compare a shotgun to a gas grenade launcher shows you're being deliberately disingenuous so I agree there really isn't any point arguing with a contrarian who doesn't know what they're talking about.
