tigris prime... always mod for slash proc?

i have a choice whether to use blaze (+60% damage) vs shredder (+30% slash)... when i use
blaze slash isnt the highest damage anymore... rest of the mods are the dual stat mods etc etc...

Shredder would increase the likelihood of slash procs but make their damage lower. Probably not a huge help.

Physical damage already has... three or four times the weighting when it comes to determining status procs, so even if it's not THE highest damage type I'd imagine you'd keep finding slash procs to be common/consistent enough that everything is still dying.

thanks!! on blaze... i have 15085 slash / 15428 blast / 10285 corro -- so based on what you are saying the weighting to physical dmg will still cause the slash procs to occur..

Yeah. Since I double checked and the weighting for physical procs is 4x as high, ignoring the impact and puncture, with those damage stats I think about 70% of the procs should end up being slash procs on average. Though since impact and puncture DO exist maybe the real end result would end up somewhere closer to 65% slash procs.

I prefer viral+radiation for those sick viral+slash prcocs. it fires too slow to reliably strip armor quickly so Id rather use my secondary for that.

I forget exactly, but I go with damage, status chance, all 4 status cards, punch through I think? and reload - "Chilling Reload" or something like that it's called

beastly weapon no matter what you do with it though.

corrosive/explosive procs on it are hilarious as NPCs going flying off the map lmao

Shredder is a trash mod, never use it. There's a better slash mod for shotguns called Sweeping Serration.

Slash procs use the weapons base damage (modified by Damge % and Faction % mods) and are affected by crit. Adding slash mods will not increase the damage of the proc.

While you can weigh the status % towards Slash if you stack it, because proc damage dosn't sale with slash mods it ends up dealing less damage than a non-slash build. You're better off ignoring it and building for elemental unless you're using a high crit weapon which can multiply the slash procs eg; Atterax or Dread.

Whatever you do, make sure you have 100% status before multishot. If not, you aren't using this shotgun to its fullest potential.

Don't bother boosting the normal damage of the weapons. Just go for elemental or status + Elemental cards.

I have never had any need of enemies die from slash proc because Tigris keeps one shotting so many enemies. If it doesn't die in 2 shots you fire off another 2. Slash isn't gonna do much good for you.

There's a video out there somewhere that tested it, and found out that viral + radiation + slashproc are best for one-shotting everything.

Sweeping Serration is kind of difficult to get, lots of RNG or Platinum.

besides, I don't use any slash mods on my Tigris. Just because it has a higher percentage doesn't mean it'll actually do any better on a particular gun too. It's a shotgun, to get those slash procs to work well is a major PITA

No rng at all when it comes to sweeping serration just waiting for baro to bring it.
