Vasto prime VS Akvasto

So I have a Vasto prime, and it works, but I'm wondering if an Akvasto would be more effective due to double the mag size and marginally less damage.

Both deal same amount of damage but Akvasto have more spread and reload time. I would rather use Akvasto.

Like with most things in the game, it's up to your preferences. In addition to the downsides you said, there is also synergy with frame passives to think about, if you want a real comparison, since they're more or less a sidegrade. But ordinarily I would say Prime because of the status chance. Akvasto isn't bad, but the lack of status chance makes it less than ideal even when you build for crit.
