Why use Forma multiple times?

Hi there!

After playing the game a bit, I've come to notice that people keep saying things like: "Ive Forma-d my weapon 3 times already".

But why? Am I missing something? After using 1 Forma, and 1 Orokin Catalyst, my weapon has all the mods I want maxxed out, with points left to spare! What could you possibly need that much space for?

Am I missing out on something?

Some weapons don't come with any Polarity slots, and some weapons come with D slots which are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless.

Other weapons are just really good so people want to perfect them or have a reason to use them longer.

you're missing ton of mods that take up space.

Are you totally filling up your weapons mod slots? kind of depends on the weapon and what polarities it already has. most stuff you need a few V polarities on it for must pick mods like serration and split chamber. If the weapon already has a few of those then youll generally need less forma. for a weapon like the lenz that just came out most people are gonna forma it a couple times since it has no V polarities on it already, also since its a weapon that requires no accuracy, a lot of people will put heavy calibur on it (a mod that increases damage as much as serration but with a penalty to accuracy, which in this case doesnt matter due to the kind of weapon), which is 16 mod points maxed. serration is 14, split chamber is somewhere near the same. so on a weapon that has no V polarities, youre already out 45-ish mod points if you have no V polarities.

Worth noting that the Dex Sybaris has no polarized mod slots at base iirc.

P.S: In hindsight that build is poorly modded.

There is a difference between mods that you "like" and mods that are best in slot and give the highest dps.

It matters on what level enmies you expect to fight.
If you are going for level 100+ - you are going to want more than 1 forma on those weapons.

There is no correlation between number of forma on a weapon and ability to kill higher levels.

while you are some what correct if you dont ahve a weapon formad enough to fit the mods needed to make it able to kill lvl 100+ enemies you will have one heck of a time killign lvl100+ enemies with it... that being said some weapons can kill them with 0 forma especially some melee weapons others need 6 to be of actual use...
