Combustion Beam, bugged?

I just got this mod but it's not appearing in my Primary weapon upgrade section.
It's in my mod collection but not in Arsenal, Primary mod selection.
Anyone else had this?
It is supposed to go on Primary weapons, right?

The only thing I could put it on was my taxons gun

Work only in laser guns

Thanx Valhalla, maybe that's why it's named Primary, rather than Rifle or Shotgun.
I go with a Kubrow at present,so if that is what it's for, it's not too useful to me.

Thanx Valhalla. He's actually Major Fletcher from a fantastic 2011/12 game called Hard reset https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_Reset
which I thoroughly recommend. It's one of the most fun games I've ever played, & still do occasionally. Even today, it's graphics aren't put to shame by newer games.

This mod works great on Ignis (apparently it counts as laser rifle) since both are made for fighting tight groups of enemies.

Only weapons that have a beam in one way or another can use such mod.
Amprex and ignis are some examples.

The only projectile base weapon that can use it is the panthera, since it's secondary fire is essentially a beam, still the regular fire will benefit from the explosion.
