What's the point of playing this game?
So I've just started playing this game and I don't get what's the point of it?
Don't get me wrong maybe I haven't found it out yet but all u do is doing the same repetitive PvE missions on different environments? That got boring pretty fast... not even 4 hours and I'm close to uninstalling this game already.

Is there no PvP, no Story, nothing else? Just boring kill these 100 enemies, protect these 3 things, deliver this? I'm in love with shooter games and had a blast with The Division but the tutorials in this game sucks I still don't know what u are supposed to do...

So if anybody could clear this up or confirm that this is all the game offers I'd be very thankful.

You make your own goals in warframe it's very much a "sandbox" expirence, i say that in quotes since there are quests in this game and even events at times.

Just play through the game would be my suggestion, see if you like and if it's not your thing then play something else, Warframe isn't everyones cup of tea.

It's like life, there is no point, so you can choose to do whatever the hell you can think of.

There is a difference, life doesn't allow you to choose what the hell you want to do but this game does, that's the beauty of it.

The point of Warframe is to grind for all the shinys which you then use to grind for more shinys. :vanilla:

- There is PvP (Conclave) but it sucks and no one plays it.
- It does have a story, pretty decent one as well, but you don't get to the good quests until the later parts of the Star-Chart.

Starting out in Warframe is pretty rough, it's boring and dull. The thing is you have to get a decent amount of the Startchart unlocked before you start to get the goodies. It starts to ger better after you do all the basic stuff and start building your first Warframe.

Best advice for now is to simply clear as much of the Star-Chart as you can, and maybe look into a Warframe you might like (Preferably one of the easier to obtain ones like Rhino).

There is story and you should've experienced some of it already.

Alas, it was different for me for i remember that i had the best moments in my time as a newbie in warframe rather then a stone cold veteran that i am now.

I've grinded over 80 hours for a rare item (Barrets Chest) in The Division so that's exactly what I'd like to do but Warframe is just so confusing that I don't even know where to get some new weapons from, the only thing I know is that some enemies are dropping Mods and that's all.

What do u mean with Star-Chart? The map with the different planets like Earth and Mars? There were some blinking blue points which I am doing but this is already pretty boring because I get nothing out of it. If there would be a mission where it clearly says that u *could* get a new weapon from it I'd grind it but I don't like spending my time for literally nothing but some useless Mods.

Yet..the mods make a weapon, anyway i'd say you head on over the Warframe Wikipedia: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki
This will guide you forward, it is known as the Holy Bible of Warframe.

Star-Chart is the thing with the planets, yes. Glowing blue ones are uncompleted. There are also Junctions which take you to other Planets, they have a list of challanges/tasks that need to be completed then you can do the Junction and advance to the next Planet.

For weapons (And Warframes, etc), Go to the Market thingy in your ship, go to weapons, tick the little thing at the bottom that says something like 'Blueprints Only', there you go. You have to build them.

It actually does, though doing silly stuff right off the bat is borderline stupid.

This is the normal progression for the Star Chart:

It's simply a good grind. Each planet is a different tileset and as you go up in ranks you start encountering a wider variety of opponents. The story is discontinuous, meaning that it is opened up as you progress through the star map rather than being just another hand-holding escalator that you get in most other MMO type game. No guided tour as you level up with the only meaningful play when you get max level here. Here, the grind and meaningful play starts the moment you start the tutorial with every mod and resource you pick up. The warframe you choose and what weapons you prefer determine how you progress.

This is not a competitive shooter. The PvP is horribly balanced and easily forgetable. It's not a percision shooter. It's a run and gun grinder.

The "Holy Bible of Warframe" isn't even telling me where to get companions from but is listing all of them... so maybe that's good if u wanna get information about them but not for bloody new players like me
