The 8-fold Path Achievement (Broken?)

I tried to do the The 8-fold Path Achievement (Survive 8 waves of Defense using only melee attacks), and i did it, didnt use my weapon in any time of the defense, and i finished 10 waves and never recived the achievement.
It is broken or i have to do or not do certain things apart of that only using melee attacks?

Unequip all your weapons and only take your melee then it will work i think.

no pet, no sentinels and no abilities for killing either - take only your melee with you.
also, don't try killing with your operator...
EDIT: of course you can take your beloved carrier with you, just take out it's weapon, then you're golden.

You can equip a sentinel but without damage potential.

Just complete an infested defense.

Despite saying "only melee attacks" or whatever, I'm not sure that using powers actually fail you, because I got the achievement by accident during a melee-only sortie and was absolutely using powers frequently, as were the other squad members. Though I guess since I was personally playing Chroma I might never have gotten a KILL with any direct powers, despite trying to do so purely to goof around.

I did it w/o even trying... pretty much because I'm a pure meleer and mostly farming affinity for focus, frames, and melee (using Naramon). I always have my sentinel (Helios) but due to farming affinity so often, I'm using a defensive build that includes not using the attack precept, so I dont have to remove the weapon at all and just change to a build with the attack precept when I want or need that extra hand. idk if the guns present make difference for the achievement, but i rarely carry them anyways, so idk abut that detail, just that sentinels don't matter at least w/o the attack precept.

The moment you hold left mouse button and melee (volt's powers with melee) the achievement is null. It's essentially detecting when you use left mouse button.

Confirmed, worked perfectly with Mesa and Peacemaker! (only a melee weapon equipped) Thnx for the tip. <3
