How good is the Venka Prime
Im currently rocking a galantine and dual kamas prime (Crit, status effect and status chance build). I mostly play valkyr and while farming for other parts I got my hands around a few venka prime parts and wanted to ask, how good is the venka prime? Range isn't really an issue for me, I mostly care about the overall damage and cool looks
Will it replace my galantine or dual kamas prime anytime soon?

I enjoy Venka Prime. Just it does less damage than expected.
With a fully modded Venka... It does less than my friends melee weapons...
It all depends on the enemies you are facing. If you are doing regular missions, you can use any melee weapon you like. When you are facing high level enemies (150+) you should be using weapons with high slash and status (e.g. Galatine, Dual Kamas, Atterax).
Build for pure crit and corrosive, the damage is jaw dropping
Venka Prime is a powerhouse if you build it right. It's most lacking feature is range, being claws, but it makes up for it in attack speed. If you have the Blood Rush mod maxed on it, it starts dealing red crits 100% of the time after only 5 hits for up to around 5k per hit, and the stealth finisher does around 50k red crit damage, and since it's primarily slash damage, it's effective against pretty much anything.

Compared to the Galantine Prime, they do a similar amount of damage output, except the Galantine can take a few swings to really start shining with a berzerker build, whilst the Venka doesn't hit as hard per swing but will attack significantly faster, balancing it out.

After then it all comes down to preference, Galantine has a long range and wide swinging arcs allowing you to hit multiple opponents, whilst the Venka's stances pretty much have you focussing on a single target at a time, but tearing through even the toughest enemies rapidly. A tanked up Valkyr Prime with a good Venka Prime build can 1-shot Grineer Bombards and Napalms up and beyond level 50 without the need for Hysteria.
Another thing to consider with the venka prime, is the modified combo counter, rather than getting I think .5 after every milestone or whatever, the venka prime get's .75, meaning that crit chance and such with blood rush increases to higher levels, much faster. If someone else has already mentioned this, my opologies, I most likely overlooked it.

Venka P is the best weapon for ability melee frames like Excalibur, Atlas and Valkyr because it gains 0,75 combo counter per increase instead of the usual 0,5 every other weapon in the game gets but if you're going to just melee normally then it's not all that great.
They are quite good. They have very fast combo counter rate (you get 3.75x very soon), great stances and due to high crit they are VERY compatible with Valkyr. They won't slow you down when quick melee (just like polearms/nikana, unlike galatine) and Vermillion Storm stance actually makes you a bit faster (also VS basic attack combo has AOE x5 step). You can switch to more single target stance, but I never felt the need nor wish.

They work exceptionally with bloodrush/berserk combo, boosted with Warcry/Eternal war. Might be matter of preference (and style) but it's very good weapon for Valkyrs (mods are mostly coherent with Hysteria, which has 50% crit chance by default). They literally shred lvl 140 mobs in simulacrum even with crit-based build.

I've replaced Galatine with these as the damage is comparable (Venka does more damage in mid term, Galatine a bit more once counter is 3.5x and more) and Venka allows you to move faster then Tempo but has lesser range (still quite wide with P.Reach).

(Did I mentioned claws on Valkyr? :) )

Ah yes, don't know how that slipped my mind. Excalibur and Atlas do get it though, using their 1.
