Can I Scrap/Destroy or Sell Weapons?
I need to make room in my Arsenal, how can I remove already owned weapons?
I see that they want me to buy Platinum to increase Arsenal slots, but I don't wanna go that route.

Go to your inventory and sell what you have.

Gonna stop your right there. It is extremely easy to acquire large amounts of Platinum (tens of thousands if you're that dedicated) through trading popular in-game items with other players, without EVER spending a cent of your own money. The most commonly traded items are parts and blueprints to Prime items and rare and/or useful mods. http://warframe.market is your friend when it comes to trading, both for checking prices and for eliminating the need to spend a lot of time in the in-game Trading chat tab to get things sold.

It's not to hard to scrap 12 Plat together by trading with other players. Just get new slots, that way you keep every weapon incase you need it.
In the Inventory, you can navigate to a "Weapons" section among the tabs. From there, you can sell whatever you don't need.

Yes you can. I do this many times with weapons when I don't feel like sitting in trade chat for 45+ minutes and never selling anything.

By going to your inventory, you can select the weapons you want to sell

My tip to you: wait till you get a 75% off coupon and buy the 50$ pack for 12.50$
You get 1000 plat that can be used to get lots and lots of things (slots, formas, reactors, catalysts, prime parts)
Oh and it supports the game :)

Thanx all, great advice.
T.I.C, I tried your link, thanx, but couldn't get the weapons I want rid of, to go in the 'Sell' section.
Great tip Ratatoskr & a valid point about supporting the game. Me & a mate were chatting recently about F2Play games & we decided that if you enjoy the game & get enough hours out of it, then maybe you should be prepared to spend at least what a Studio charge for a decent game nowadays eh?

Yeah, making a game your second job. RNG in drops, salty players, good luck here. There are guns in game that never in a lifespam of a Warframe become good, not to say competitive. So its quite good idea to get rid of useless weapons - and that is a perspective of a player, who owns all the weapons and frames in his inventory. There is no clear point to stock weapons.

I agree wholeheartedly. Too often people get hung up on the F2P/P2W debates, when the answer is really simple: If you enjoy it, support it. I usually buy a small platinum pack whenever I get a daily discount (don't look at my playtime here, I recently started over on PC after religiously playing on PS4 pre-Specters of the Rail). That plat either goes to dojo rushing, slots, or trading. Anything between purchases is made purely through trading.

But I agree with Chatbot. Don't sell equipment. Run relics, even Lith, and trade your parts on the market - three common drops is usually enough for 12p, and that's a casual 15 defense or 15 minute survival. Or farm Archwing mods (if you enjoy arch missions like I do) and trade them - damage mods sell high and sell fast. If you go the relic route, run as (or with) a Lootkros and rake in the extra credits, materials, and mods for trade or endo conversion.

The day you run a mastery test that can be cheesed with a specific weapon, you'll kick yourself for that mindset. If I had run the carousel test and had presold my "worthless" Ballistica, I'd have quit.

you mean for trade ? not all weapons/items are tradable so that may be why...

Common tradable items are :
- mods (nearly all of them, only 2 exceptions I know of)
- ayatan sculptures and stars
- prime parts and prime blueprints (as dropped from void relics during fissure missions... prime parts that you crafted in the foundry from a prime blueprint are untradable)

These items are also tradable (but not easy to get for new players)
- special/syndicate weapons (if totally unused and not crafted)
- special weapons parts and blueprints (eg : wraith and vandal)
- arcanes (what you get from trials... quite late game stuff)
- focus lenses (dropped from sorties... you need to finish most of the quests to get to that part)

like said before, if you really want to get rid an untradable item (like your first MK-1 weapons) you can do so from the inventory:
in the ship : escape menu > equipement > inventory, select the weapon you don't want anymore and it should appear in the 'sell' part under the list (note that the game will probably not allow you to get rid of all your weapons of any class : you will need at least one primary and secondary and melee)

However : small advice, before selling anything get them to level 30, and check on the wiki if these weapons are not used as a crafting component to make another weapon :
http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Weapons_Required_as_Crafting_Ingredients

final word : supporting the game is up to you, after more than 1000 hours of fun I don't regret it...

Also, want "free" plat? Join people recruiting help for Limbo proof fragments. They're oddly tradable, and lazy players easily pay 1-2p per unit and need 9 in total.

1. Don't really remember what a carousel test is (being a MR23) but I have never used ballistica at all and had no issues with any MR test ever;
2. It take you maybe 20-30 minutes to find out all the best, cheasiest, end game weapons of all time, there are not many of those, around 10 overall I believe - go ahead, spare these, and dumb the rest (casual player perspective).

Carousel was somewhere between 10-12: Lasers in front, lasers behind, constantly moving on a circle path, and you have to kill 16 grineer on a raised platform. Hitscan weapons perform well if you can fire a close burst before you walk past range, but with Ballistica's partial homing, you literally cannot miss when you fire a burst spread. Past that test, however, it's a lackluster secondary. And that's just one example. The only time I ever recommend selling a weapon is after 30ing a MK-1. (Semi-hardcore player perspective)

After MR10 you can use warframe abilities in tests, I Gues Embers World on Fire will deal with this test better.
