St_Minorto Mar 27, 2017 @ 11:38am
its against rules yes. but not bannable. until someone tells abbout fact to admins

Theres a risk you might get banned, but if possible he could log in with your pc so a different IP address wouldnt get detected

Just my guess here, but I don't think DE cares, but they probably don't want "my friend messed up my account" or "it was my friend" reports.

Depending on how your friend does it, the server may automatically lock down your account because it thinks someone is trying to hack it.

from my experience with the 30 or so mmos ive actively played over the years. most do not care if hes just logging on for the loggin rewards.

but i will say if you then get banned for something your friend did on your account. dont expect them to beleive a word of it. you are responsable for your account. end of story

As soon an account is breached intentionally or unintentionally, the account is banned to either:
- prevent further damage (in the case of someone else stealing your account)
- prevent the user from breaking the TOS again, one violation of that sort is enough.

A "popular" warframe youtuber has received the punisment shortly after anouncing in his videos that he and his buddy logged in in the same account, needless to say the user is banned and many ignorant players outthere still think it was DE's mistake.

well, if you didn't get into trouble by now, why are even MENTION it here and now? for you might get punished now that you told us.
anyway if you read the term of service for warframe, you also would get your answer.

true, but if one is waving the banner about account sharing in a forum that devs DO read often enough, is a bit like poking the lion if you ask me...

Yes, but if you talk about it and make a public video on the subject, what do you expect?

As much of a shock it is, being a veteran, buying prime access or investing money into the game doesn't buy you immunity, if you are used to buying immunity, maybe make that sugestion to EA, that publisher is always looking for ways for players to pay, they don't make experiences players want, they search for opportunities where players are willing to pay.
Players pay for progression? then make that available
Players pay to gain immunity so they can break the rules? then make that available.

On a company with integrity, things change, so please do not force that nonsense onto DE.

If you prefer, make that sugestion directly in the warframe forums for everyone to see and if you get enough upvotes then maybe DE will consider checking that sugestion.

I can also tell you that several partners are awaiting a decision for DE regarding the behavior they displayed, like selling glyph codes, i don't know if it's a ban wave or a partner removal wave, but it's comming.
