Nothing to discuss really Ignis wraith hs higher ammo capacity, crit and status versus standard ignis. Only draw back? Ignis wraith has 2 points less in max damage output but witht he other increases that can be easily overcome. Also it looks good.

on paper it has 2 points lower damage but in practice with how much ammo it has it has higher dps since you fire longer and have the same reload speed.

Due to how beam weapons work, corrosive is not as good as some may believe in the Ignis, an automatic status weapon is ultimately much better at corrosive armor stripping than pretty much all beam weapons. Pretty sure the armored targets wouldn't be that scared of a corrosive Ignis. Blast should be enough to make them scared with sudden explosions to the face.

Well we need to see in game use and comparison. Sure on paper it sounds clearly defined but given that beam weapons rate of fire can increase or lower status application is a very significant factor not taken into account when comparing the raw numbers of autorifles vs. beams in terms of armor stripping.

Well we need to see in game use and comparison. inculding multishot the ignis could do 2 procs per second.

Now look at the akstiletto prime (i know it's a pistiol) with decent modding they have a firerat of 10+ and mostlikely 180% Multishot with 90% status chance or even higher. So it'll shoot a minimum of 28 (+) bullets per second ech can proc individually, i know the proc consitensy is lower campered to the ignis but it'll do much more corrosive procs per sec than the ignis, that's for sure.

I generally see people claim that multishot does not actually even increase the amount of status procs from Beam weapons, along with the point that no matter how fast ammo is dumping out, they can't proc more than once a second.

I suppose I can't confirm it myself, but it seems to have been a major long-standing complaint about the weapon type in general.

Anyhow. I think I saw some numbers suggesting that despite the slightly lower base damage for some reason, even unmodded the increased crit chance should put it barely ahead in DPS, and then you've got the magazine and status benefits.
