If were talking about mastery challenges yes
Once you understand this you'll realize that no weapon is mandatory to do anything.
I said best weapons by mastery level
So you know, when I hit X mastery level, I can get Y weapon....
If everyone who had a question did "research" there would be no forums
With rivens more than half weapons are ok and its about personal taste, frame + weapon combination and using brain when making build.
Eg. I really dont like lex/aklex, which are best secondaries according current meta and love Nezha + polearms combination.
Also the forum's arnt for asking pointless questions. Which could be easily answered. There is a Warframe wiki with thousands of pages of information. This stupid question could of easily been answered by looking up mastery locked weapons.
Or better yet u could of just went on the weapon damage comparison page of the wiki and compared all weps
